As others here have stated, putting together and then fitting a dog in these wheels is complicated. Since there is no in-person customer service where I live, I had to depend on their 8-5 (ET) phone-in customer service. Three of the four reps I talked to simply sent me very short videos that did not help at all. Why won’t they video chat in real time? That is so simple but instead they need to hurry and then send video links. After spending over $300 on the wheels, I expected more than a poorly written instruction manual, and customer service people who quickly get you off the phone by sending video links. After reading about how hard it is to return the wheels without getting money taken off, now I’m nervous about being stuck with an expensive contraption that just won’t help my dog who really, really needs the help.

When I found this website I was in a panic, worried about my Alvin and if he would ever have the quality of life he had before his unexpected injury. It happened in the blink of an eye and out of nowhere. Finding the right wheelchair for him was incredibly easy. Walkin pets has a wheelchair especially for dachshunds. Measured his legs and found he was in 2 size categories. His weight put him in a chair that was for a longer legged dachshund. I continued reading and found the height could be adjusted on the legs. Mind at ease now, I ordered it and it was here in 3 days. Thankfully the Lord answered our prayers and had different plans for my boy. He made a miraculous recovery and started walking on his. Luckily I was able to start the return and the process was so easy thanks to Tsehaye Gebat. My emails were answered quickly and I had no issues. I highly recommend Walkin’ Pets if God forbid you have the need for a wheelchair for your fur baby.

I ordered the Halo on April 16th. I still have not received it and today is May 7th. I have talked to the company twice and was told they would find out where my order is and get back to me both times. I have yet to hear anything from them. I have called USPS and now they are looking into where my order is. I have my doubts they will find it either. The customer service rep I talked to both times said he would talk to his supervisor and see if they could send me a new halo. I haven't heard any response to that either. If my dog was not blind and needed the Halo that I've already paid over $50.00 for I would forget it and just get my money back.

My dog had two issues develop. She has disc disease and an adrenal gland tumor. She lost control of her back legs as a result. While she is getting physical therapy for her back legs her wheelchair helps strengthen her front legs and helps satisfy her desire to move. It is also good for her overall health. The staff at the cancer clinic were delighted to see her and called them her hot wheels!
