I'm a Walgreens customer and call in meds as part of my job at a Specilty clinic. Both of these experiences has been a huge pain.
As a customer they can not seem to find a prescription that has been sent in multiple times, and I've had to call the clinic - same one I work at multiple times to get them to find it.
As a medical professional the same has happened, I've called in scripts that magically disappear or are sent out wrong.
What bothers me more than anything is waiting on the phone for seemingly an hour only to hear every 10 seconds "We will be right with you".
With this said, I Do Not blame the staff - one visit to my pharmacy clearly showes they are over worked and struggling to keep up with the work load, It's little wonder they make mistakes.

Rude never pays
So, I went to the Wallgreens on Bardstown Rd and walked up to the pharmacy desk.
They were waiting on a lady so I was second in line.
Another pharmacist walked over and said sir we closed at 6 PM.... the time 6:05.
She was very matter of fact and gave me a look like don’t even try. I looked very surprised and said, You closes at 6?!?
Another matter of fact-don’t even try- “closed sir.”
I walked back to the front of the store and checked the front door...
Pharmacy hours 8am-10pm
I walked back in and commented to the cashier in the front of the store your sign says 10pm for Pharmacy....? (I was polite)
She had a condescending look, and with a smirk she said, “it’s 6”
I repeated in defense, your sign says Pharmacy hours 8am-10pm....
Her tone changed now to you’re an idiot ..... again- “it’s 6!”
Now I’m insulted by her talking down to me. “ that’s not what the sign says.
Then she said, “it’s posted lower on the door.”
I walked back out, and sure enough, down around my knees was another poorly placed sign, 6pm.
So the sign at eye level was 10pm but the sign down around my knees listed a change highlighted in dark red which made it very hard to read in the first place....
Ok, I’m sorry, I should have known that you would have multiple pages taped to the front doors with differing times.
I’m also sorry that I took the sign at eye level as the most current... I shouldn’t have stopped reading all of the door literature until I was on my knees.
You had every right to be condescending and rude to a regular patron.....
Suggestion:
1. When you make major change to when people can pick up their much needed prescriptions, make it highly visible about a month in advance.
2. Be kind to those who missed the sign, we might be a little more educated than you give credit for.
In fact, we might make a great deal more income than a front register cashier......
As for me, it’s ok, I don’t mind driving a few more blocks to your competitor.
You don’t own my prescription, I’m having my doctor resend it elsewhere.

DO NOT GET YOUR COVID TEST AT…
DO NOT GET YOUR COVID TEST AT WALGREENS. They do their labs through a company called Aegis Labs, who should be fired. I took a covid test, which took forever to take to begin with. It was suppose to be back in 24 hours (CVS gets results before 24 hours, in fact almost everyone can get results back in 24 hours). It has been 70 hours so far, stillllll waiting!!! Fire them!!!!

Bad management
I made an appt.for my corona vaccine at the wallgreens on North Ave. Burlington vt. For 8-22-21. I drove 25 miles to get there only to get turned down for my shot. Why did they schedule this appt. With me to begin with if they were just gonna turn me down. This is bad management. I have an aggressive schedule and I'm not sure when I can make another appt. THANKS WALLGREENS AND I WILL TAKE ALL OF MY BUSINESS SOMEWHERE ELSE. ERIC GINGRAS.

We my wife and I tried Walgreens for a COVID test for a Hawaii trip. What a joke. They said we would get results in about 24 hours. The test lab was slow to get our sample and seemed to completely ignore us. We never got the test results in time for our flight. Do not use them!!!

I’m just going to tell you about my…
I’m just going to tell you about my last two experience with Walgreens but I’ve been fed up with the drive-through. Last week I was in the drive-through to pick up my prescriptions that were already filled and prepaid and I waited in line 45 minutes because there was someone ahead of me taking a Covid test in the drive-through if Walgreen wants to be a clinic then be a clinic and not a pharmacist don’t do both and it’s not safe because you’re not cleaning the outside were the person that might have Covid is getting tested and the next person picking up the medicine is going to be touching the same things that were just touch.
This evening my husband is a diabetic and his medicine is supposed to be on auto fill but he was completely out of his medicine and I had called the doctor and Walgreens to get his prescription filled and one for myself it took 2 1/2 hours and four trips around the Walgreen store to get our medicine. This is just completely unacceptable and if you have set up a prepaid and you got the app saying the medicine is ready for pick up and you paid for it why can’t you pick it up what’s the Xpress line for it just don’t make sense.

Do NOT go here for a covid test
Do NOT go here for a covid test. They say 24 hour result, I’m on day 4 and still no results. At the North Monroe store in Tallahassee the guy in the pharmacy is a jerk and acts like you are bothering him. After waiting for 45 minutes, that was the icing on the cake. Will never use their pharmacy again.
