While in the care and control of one of Wag’s walkers, one of my dog’s got into an altercation with another dog being walked by her owner. Though on leash with a gentle leader, my dog attacked and bit the other dog. Thankfully, she is fine, however her owner has been traumatized by the incident and is seeking coverage for both their vet bill and mental health for the trauma. Both the other owner and I have spent an increasingly frustrating and stress-filled number of weeks trying to get Wag to take ANY responsibility for what happened while my dogs were in their care and control. They’ve been entirely unresponsive and uninterested in providing any assistance whatsoever. Below is an excerpt of the most recent of many emails sent to them (it is impossible — literally — to reach them by phone. I STRONGLY suggest you consider carefully before entrusting your dogs to Wag’s “care.” A quick Google search will demonstrate that mine is far from the most egregious case of negligence on their part. From my most recent email to Wag... Because you clearly have no intention of taking the responsibility that is clearly, legally yours; I am forced to pay out of pocket to cover your debts. This has been a traumatic experience for both Louise’s family, and for me — YOUR client. It is clear to me that Wag, much like many other poorly run gig economy businesses, cares nothing for its mission or customers. I’m sure that your founders, executives and investors are ONLY interested in some future “cashing out” if Wag is sold or taken public. In the meantime, you’re perfectly happy to watch innocent people and their pets suffer any kind of calamity. A quick search online exposes multiple cases of negligence on Wag’s part including the loss of multiple dogs’ lives. You care nothing for your clients or their pets. Your advertising of insurance is either an outright falsehood or simply a marketing tactic meant to lure people into the misguided belief that Wag will actually take responsibility for the pets put into its care. And your customer support is a well-known joke. Your lack of decency leaves me with little choice but to seek legal advice on how to recoup the damages resulting from your negligence. And as I said in my last message, to do everything I can to publicize my terrible experience with Wag, adding to the avalanche of terrible reviews already well published by both Wag clients and walkers. Same issue as many people below. We used the dog walking service for over a year and loved it. We then trusted the people and the app and used their service for dog watching over the weekend. TERRIBLE idea. The sitter just came to 'check' on the dogs and let them out. Left them for 10 hours over night. Came at 12 am to let them out and then did not show up again until 10:30 am the next morning. We cancelled our trip and came home because we were so uncomfortable with the entire experience. Have tried to get in contact with support and never heard anything. Not only did we not get a refund from a service that was not completed, we had to then also cut our weekend trip early and pay additional fees to come home. NEVER AGAIN with Wag.

Wag is ALWAYS there to walk our dog! Our experience with their walkers has been nothing but excellent, and their customer support is responsive and pretty much instantaneous - so glad we found them!

My first and ONLY experience. Dog sitter never showed up and zero customer service. Copy/ pasting my email to customer service: My first experience with Wag - awful! I had a confirmed booking for Saskia (who is one of the highest rated walkers) to come at 6-9 to sit with my dog. I texted her if she could come at 6:30-9:30 instead. No response. So I said 6 is still fine. No response. It’s now 6:50, no response to messages or calls. Have called customer service, got a recording about long wait times so i put my number in and was supposed to get a call back, this was 20 minutes ago and no response. Then I called again and left a voicemail. I even tried to respond to the message I got from Lauren at customer service earlier, confirming the appointment, no response. This is really really inconvenient, forget the fact that the sitter who is supposed to be so highly rated doesn’t show up, but the lack of any kind of customer service from the company is awful! Update: it is now the following day and I still haven’t been contacted by either the sitter or the company. If you want unreliable and uncommunicative service then Wag is for you!

I have used this company for several months I've been over build three times for walks I didn't get I had to pay twice because I never received notification that my dogs are being walked so I ordered a second time and then found out that they did walk my dogs the report never went through and they never notified me that my dogs were getting walked like they're supposed to so then I got billed twice I was totally be credited I wasn't the final straw was when I requested my dogs be walked at 3 I never got a notification back that they were being walked I was told at 5 that they would have someone there at 5:45 2 hours and 45 minutes after my dogs needed to be out I told them not to send anybody out at this point I will get somebody else they send somebody out an hour and a half later didn't tell me and then billed me for it the Walkers are wonderful but if you try to call to talk to a person you can't get through to anybody they want you to leave a message and they'll contact you and if you do get ahold of somebody all they do is say sorry but that doesn't help your animals that have been sitting for hours waiting for someone to let them out that is not what I pay for and what's sad is there walkers get the upset customer when they're just doing their job and they care about our animals but the business end of it I won't ever use them again

Walker showed up as promised and did a nice walk with photos. Dog walker was nice and friendly. This was the first time I used it so I’d say so far so good

Love this app!! It’s easy to make appointments in advance and there is quick response for last minute ones. I especially love that you receive a quick response that they are working on finding you a wag walker, which decreases the stress of wondering if they received your request. The updates and photos during the walk are fun. Every walker I have had so far have been professional and have taken good care of my baby Blue😊💙
