My old company had Voya. I put in my first payment of $100 and left that company a few weeks later for a better position. By the time I left that company my Voya account has $117 and some change in it. I reached out to have my money sent back to me. I received a check for $7 and some change. Apparently they charge you $110 to send you your money! That was never mentioned by any of the representatives I spoke with and was told I would be getting that check sent out to me of $117. Absolutely ridiculous. Essentially they stole $100 of my hard earned money. This company is a scam and wouldn't recommend them handling your 401K.

I am closing my account and moving my mandate to CVE Capital. If a provider makes it difficult to access your own capital and hides behind bureaucratic excuses, it's not an investment, it's a red flag. Real stewardship means having total control over your exit and that is the standard o transparency and liquidity the CVE framework provides.

My account seems to have broken, on its own. I check weekly the financial status, logging in to do so. Out of no where I began getting a "We are unable to log you in to your account at this time. Please contact your account advisor at 855-663-8692 for more information" message for about a week. I called to report the issue, and they reported having opened a trouble ticket and they'd call me when they fix it. Got a call 2 days later, saying they were working on the issue and would update me when its done. 2 days after that and no further calls and its still unresolved. I called back and they say its still being worked, and theyd call me when its done. On a side note it appears they outsource theit call centers to India....not all english speakers are fluent/intelligible.

I called the number they give online, because their online portal gives you zero information about your existing policy, so you HAVE to call. When you call and ask about your payments, they will tell you that they are trying to get that information for you all the while they are trying to just upsell you. As soon as it is clear that you won’t be up sold, they give you another phone number to call; it’s all just a ploy to keep you on the line. Then you call that number, and they give you another number and that number gives you another number. It is all designed deliberately to make it as hard as possible to stay on top of your policy. They are gambling that people will give up, forget and let their policies lapse. It is as close to a scam as they can legally get away with. I would NEVER choose to do business with them again.

I applied to a job at Voya on Sept 4, 2025. I did not hear a word from them until April 22, 2026, At which point I got an automated rejection email. Incredible disrespect to their applicants. The level arrogance that drives such a practice is hard to understand.

A 401k rollover should be a seamless process. Multiple calls and then a required spousal consent form that was not on website. Would only accept by mail or fax. Finally acknowledged receipt and would not send funds to my financial institution but only a check to me. Did not opt for their extortionate $50 expedited mail but I am now at day 15 and still have not received my check. When I called to inquire when it was put in the mail the customer service rep said it was my fault for not selecting the expedited method. Victim blaming? Voya rate of return way below the market and the customer service experience confirms my decision to get out of there

Trying to get my 401k from them is hell the app is never working properly. They said they sent me a file I had to use abdobe reader to access it but every time abdobe tells there is no file to open so I called and asked to have paperwork mailed to me it’s been two weeks and I haven’t received anything.
