VCA Animal…Hospitals in Fremont, CA is the Wrost Hospitals
I brought my cat to the VCA Animal hospital in Fremont, Ca. My cat had a very bad urinary tract infection. He could not pee and he was very bloated. The doctor did nothing useful but give him medication, over charged me with x-rays, and had me sign some bogus one year contract that I am still paying for that still didn't cover any other treatment that was helpful for him. Also, when I would call her office to tell them my cat was still suffering, they didn't return my calls. I was forced to pay out more money with care credit and take him to an emergency vet who actually helped my cat. Don't go to VCA Animal Hospital in Fremont, CA.

Lack of communication and informed Consent
On the night of July 15, 2026, we brought our beloved 15-year-old dog, Maile, to VCA Oso Creek for humane euthanasia due to acute respiratory distress caused by lung cancer. The staff insisted on removing her from our arms to place an IV catheter in the back. Before taking her, the staff explicitly and verbally assured us that she would not be given any medications or sedatives while separated from us. Predictably, separating a fragile, terminal dog from her owners in a crisis caused her panic and respiratory symptoms to escalate. Instead of returning her to our care to calm her, the clinic chose operational efficiency.Upon requesting Maile’s official medical logs, we discovered a shocking contradiction. While out of our sight, Dr. Allred immediately administered 0.2 ml of IV Acepromazine—a potent tranquilizer—without our knowledge or consent. When she was finally returned to the room, she was completely unresponsive and profoundly sedated. We actually thought she might already be dead. Because the clinic lied to us about the medication, my wife and I were stripped of our final conscious moments and a shared goodbye with our companion of 15 years. They managed the clinical side of her transition, but completely failed the human side of it. If you choose this facility for end-of-life care, be aware that their backend workflow takes priority over honest communication and your final peace of mind.

I went to VCA Central Exoressway Animal…
I went to VCA Central Exoressway Animal Hospital in Dallas. I was referred by Operation Kindness due to my adopted dog has heartworms. They kindly pay for it. Wonderful organization! Long story short, I went in for my dog’s first shot 7/17/26. I went to pick her up and as soon as I walked in the receptionist said I owed $368 for the parasite med. I told her the tech set me up on a subscription for $28.44 in a previous appointment. She said, it’s not showing up in the system? I said, sorry, but I did it and I’m not paying in addition, when I already did it. The tech I did it with said it was done, no worries, I’d receive my first dose by 8-1. That was done. As I waited on the couch this woman comes out arguing that I hat not done it, if I had it would be in the system. She was saying I was lying, and went on and on that if it was done it would be in the system! Geezzz,..I didn’t set it up, so they were throwing me under the bus for the tech that didn’t get it done correctly. I couldn’t get a word in she was so mad! I thought and tried to say, let’s wait till that tech is back Monday, because she was off that day, and deal with it then? But no way! I asked to speak because I couldn’t over her yelling, and she said, NO YOU CANNOT SPEAK! I asked for my dog, and as I was walking out she yelled, YOU’LL HAVE NO FURTHER TREATMENT FOR YOU DOG WITH VCA! So, I have a dog under heartworm treatment that no longer has a Dr. I called VetSource the next day only to learn that the subscription was started, but not completed. So I was accused of lying and not doing the parasite med when it was actually THEIR fault. I spoke to the Dr there on Monday who was was really nice and asked who that woman was that yelled at me? She said she was someone who worked in the back of the clinic. I asked her if she had any authority to discharge me and tell me my dog couldn’t get treatment. She said, no. Everyone I talked to said that woman should be fired, but I spoke briefly to the manager who wasn’t there during all this and she was very passive about it. Nothing was done. Just a , sorry you had a bad experience. Not very sincere, to be honest, but I was still nice to her because I knew they fed her whatever they wanted to fit their motive, etc, for what happened. I’ve reported it to Operation Kindness and tried to reach VCA headquarters, with no return reply. No surprise. Just don’t go here. Money is more important than truth, or you dog’s treatment in this clinic.

Beware of VCA Howell
Dr Kennedy is incompetent , uncaring and dishonest. Additionally, the clinic's rates are much higher than any other vets in the area.

Terrible vet
Terrible vet! Multiple negative experience! Called to book in my dog for an emergency for the same day. They told me they are fully booked for next 2 days and to call a different vet....
Also who does the ultrasound on a full stomach?
Of course they didn't find anything and had to redo the ultrasound the next day for an extra charge...I was not satisfied with the services at all

Until recently I have been satisfied…
Until recently I have been satisfied with the care my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel had with VCA Old Town and VCA SouthPaws. After Tolliver lost his battle with lymphoma and the Care Club contributed nothing to his “final expenses” I was surprised that I was charged an additional $128. for the privilege of cancelling my coverage. Care?

Horrible overcharged vet didn't know anything he technician new far more and was pleasant kind person
Everything. Extremely over priced compared to for example Waterville vet and if it's a cat paris hill cat hospital there far cheaper by hundreds and you get treated like a person not just get treated like there personal bank and charge double sometimes triple than others I should have listened to friends and family. To cut it short they shouldn't be allowed to practice worst vet by a long shot I've ever been too. Disrespectful at the front desk a not caring attitude. Go somewhere else they'll bleed you dry have a good day and I hope no one else goes there and has the same experience

Bailey the Wonderdog
Bailey the Wonderdog, my faithful companion for almost 17 years, presented himself with end of life symptoms. A real champ he could no longer get up. Not a whimper he held on for me. Once the decision was made I phoned VCA on Roderick in Victoria. The reception was very accommodating and compassionate as I was a mess. They listened to me and said they would make themselves available right away, this was about 9pm on a Tuesday night. When I got there a team brought Bailey in on a stretcher and took him away to be prepared, I was escorted into an incredibly peaceful room to wait. Bailey was brought and I was allowed as much time as needed to say goodbye, he truly earned his rest, check out his YouTube channel “Bailey the Wonderdog & Myk”. I liked the private exit out to the parking lot, I was a mess but stoic as is my nature. All I had to do was flip a lightswitch and leave. I could never thank their staff enough for their sincere compassion, above and beyond would not be an exaggeration. Cost was much less than I would have expected especially given the extreme short notice. Victoria VCA is as good as it gets, two thumbs and one paw up!
