I can't get Ty Ty Nursery to respond to…
I can't get Ty Ty Nursery to respond to me. I had two orders last year. In one of the orders, at least one--it may have been two, I honestly don't remember now--of the trees had no leaves, but it was into the summer and I thought that, perhaps in the process of supposedly being dormant while shipping, maybe they would produce the next year (which is this year). Now, all three trees have no leaves so it appears that they're all dead although I did get a grape vine and a mulberry tree that seem to be OK. I've read that they have a one-year guarantee and asked about that, but am getting no response. I was lured in with variety of products offered and reasonable deals, but I would strongly dissuade others from doing business with this establishment since it appears that they are content to take customers' money without concern for providing them with the quality of products that they anticipate receiving. EDIT: Ty Ty Nursery responded here that they responded to my e-mail. While that may have been the intent, responses to e-mails from a Gmail account--which I used--come directly back into the same thread so that it can immediately be seen, and it's not there; neither is it in the junk e-mail folder which I checked for good measure.
Response from Ty Ty NurseryJun 15, 2026
EDIT: This is the response that was sent on 6-10-26 @ 5:30PM Thank you for reaching out, and I’m sorry to hear about the loss of your plants. To complete your claim, we will need you to send scratch test photos of the tree. Please lightly scrape a small section of bark near the trunk until you reach the cambium layer underneath. If it is green, the tree is still alive; if it is brown and dry, that indicates the tree has died. Once we receive clear photos of the scratch test, we’ll be able to move forward with finalizing your claim. Please note that we begin processing claims in July for this season’s orders to allow adequate time for establishment. We do not offer direct replacements or refunds back to the card through the Plantsurance warranty. Once a claim is approved, we issue store credit for the purchase price of the plant, and that credit can be used toward a new order. Thanks, Josie Ty Ty Nursery 888-758-2252 We’re sorry to hear you feel this way. We did respond to your email four days ago, so please check your spam or junk folder in case our reply was filtered there. Either way, we want to make sure this is addressed. I will have someone call you directly today so we can review your orders, go over the Plantsurance guarantee, and work toward a positive resolution.
