Disappointed
Edit: seriously? You responded to my review 21 months after I left it? What good is that? I was skeptical of ordering live trees through the mail without the opportunity to see them in person first, but I took a chance and was disappointed. I spent over $300 for three 5-6' trees. Upon arrival, two trees were badly curved and one was short. I contacted TyTy for help and was told that my bent trees were perfectly healthy and just needed to be staked. One of these trees was bent about 30 degrees within the first 6" at the ground, something that no amount of staking will solve. My only solution would be to plant the tree on an angle and hope it straightens itself over several years. As for the short tree, TyTy refunded the price difference between sizes. This is frustrating! If I wanted to save $30 I would have ordered the shorter tree in the first place! Given the expense of the trees plus shipping I had hoped there would have been some type of quality control, but apparently this is not the case - three trees, each one with a deficiency. Lesson learned I suppose.

Thank you for sharing your experience, and we’re sorry to hear that your order did not meet your expectations. We understand how frustrating it is to invest in larger, premium-size trees and receive plants that you feel fall short of the quality you were expecting. Trees shipped live can sometimes arrive with bends or curves due to natural growth patterns or movement during transit. In many cases, staking does allow young trees to straighten as they establish, but we understand your concern when a bend is significant and close to the base. Regarding the shorter tree, we did issue a refund for the difference in size in accordance with our policy, though we understand why that may not feel like a satisfactory solution given your original intent. At Ty Ty Nursery, we do perform quality checks before shipping, but live plants are natural products and can vary in shape, form, and appearance. Our focus is on overall plant health and long-term performance rather than cosmetic perfection at delivery. That said, we regret that this order left you disappointed, and we appreciate your feedback, as it helps us continue to improve our processes and communication. If you would like a senior representative to review your order again or discuss additional options, please feel free to email [email protected] with your order number. We value your business and appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns.
