Just Terrible. Can not engage 8the gear, chain constantly slipping, grinding and jamming against the chain cover even after I just brought it in for servicing.
No instruction manual and online version gives absolutely no relevant information, had to find out from online reviews that you can’t drive through puddles or you’ll fry the electronics and the Electra Townie Go’s battery pack does not last for 30 miles as many online reviews state. I tested it from full to empty and it was barely 20 miles.
Don’t be fooled by Trek’s inferior product.

I've bought a Supercaliber last year…
I've bought a Supercaliber last year and used for 8 months. First, I should say this bike climbs as promissed, but to descend, it is terrible, no control and not safe (due to 69o head tube). Also, I faced lot of issues with Trek components. This is fact my major complaint: rear tire is gone after 1.200 miles. The bike was delivered by a Trek store without proper spoke wheel adjustement, and one got broken when riding. Bontrager hubs are horrible as, in any contact with water, it damages the bearings (replaced them twice in 8 months!!, the two wheels),. The head tube also very susceptible to watter damage and intrusion. Painting is beautiful, but very fragile, don't touch anything that get damaged. The rear chain stain frame cracked after 2 months of use (replaced by Trek under warranty). So, I shold say I am not happy with Trek as a brand neither with Supercaliber.

WARNING! Buyer Beware! Trek bikes/ Wheels shop Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia
I purchased a bicycle from Trek bicycles also known as “Wheels” in Al Khobar in Saudi Arabia and the chain and gears were faulty. I tried to exchange the bike for a different model but they refused and they also refused a refund. Instead the said they would fix the gears and then they did not do this properly either. Buyer BEWARE. Trek products are now cheap and not fit for purpose and the Wheels shop in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia are not good traders as they are selling poor quality bikes and then not helping their customers when there are problems. Do not buy bikes from these people.

TREK FIT WRONG SIZE FORKS ON MARLIN 4 FOR 29 INCH WHEELS
TREK do not put much thought in to making a bike these days, they sent out to shops a TREK MARLIN 4 frame with 29 inch wheels that has no clearance for mounting a front mudguard to the SUNTOUR forks, this is not acceptable, there is no point there being a mount if the wheel is too large. There is no option other than to spend silly amounts of cash for smaller 27.5 inch wheels or longer fork.
What makes it worse is that I been trying to buy a mountain bike for 7 weeks and 2 previous failed because one was defective and the other was returned to sender by courier after a delivery dispute.
What next.
It looks like the only option is to modify the mudguard and that is hard and will require much work.
The rear seat stays have no option to mount mudguard either, there is no adapter on sale to mount it either so I must make one, that is easier than the front.
What has happened to you aerospace boasters from the 1990's. MADE IN CHINA that's is what.
DO NOT BUY A TREK BIKE, ONLY BUY THE FRAME because they will set it up like an amateur with the wrong components.
ADD YOUR OWN COMPONENTS AFTER BUYING.

Very Happy Customer
I had a really good experience here, I ordered some parts from the online site. They were at a great price and it said 4 - 8 days for delivery which was longer than I would have liked but for the price I couldn't complain. The parts arrived the next day and were well packaged and as described! What more could you ask for! 5 star!

Still waiting for a bike I ordered on Nov 2nd 2020
On Novembre 2nd 2020, I ordered a bike from my regular dealer for an expected delivery in July 2021 later postponed to Septembre 2021 upon acceptance of the order from Trek. Bad news but this happens...
In any case, July or September, although impractical for the summer there is no need to bother.
Comes September 2021, I get in touch with my dealer and the delivery is postponed to December... I grind my teeth but he tells me that there is no reason to bother, they often deliver bikes sooner that they say. I am starting to worry because they already miss a delivery date and postponed the delivery not by a month but by 3. Anyway, the dealer tells me that the delivery being in 2021 it will have no impact on price...
Why should there be a price impact? I assumed that I wanted one considering it would be a price reduction. Then my dealer tells me that a delivery in 2022 would have meant a 2022 model year with a price increase! So, on top on being late on my bike TREK will push a price increase because they would be unable to deliver the bike I ordered... That is a first...
Anyway, I come back to my dealer at the beginning of December to ckeck on my bike... And SUPRISE... The bike is in Europe, GREATTTT!!! But there is a small part missing... OUCH... And the bike is a 2022 model year, so I will have to swallow the price bump... I said to myself it would be a 1 or 2% increase, nothing that cannot be negociated... But no, it is a 10% increase!!!
And I then discovered that, according to the contract between TREK and its dealers, TREK is not responsible for delays in delivery and they can change orders as they see fit according to their model year changes. And although European Regulation forbids such changes imposed to the customer, their contract allows them to impose those conditions to the dealer. The dealer is then stuck with a bike that is more expensive and is not what the customer ordered...
In any case, my bike was supposed to arrive in January 2022. Ever since then, it was pushed back every week until I learned today that it was pushed back 6 weeks from now when they told me 4 weeks ago that it would be delivered the day after tomorrow.
The dealer is speechless and does not know what to tell me... I like the guy, I really do. He tells me that he has no leverage on TREK and that he will have to pay the price increase whether or not I agree to pay the price increase (which I will not)...
In any case, considering the inability of TREK to deliver bikes on time, I do hope I will get my bike this year (for the moment, the leadtime is 588 days for my bike vs an initial leadtime of 255 days, quite a performance!). For those who want to order a bike today, be patient... and if you go to another bike manufacturer please keep me informed of your experience...
Best regards
