I do not recommend this company. Worst customer service ever. If you buy a refill card it gets scanned, you pay for it. When you try to add it you get a message saying it is invalid. Customer service then tells you that the card 'was not scanned properly.' The card is on my receipt and was paid for so, how is it NOT SCANNED? They can see where and when you purchased the card, and yet, cannot refill your service? Seriously. Pick any other prepaid service, they might not be much better but, they couldn't be worse.

You are being warned! Do not go with Total Wireless My client has had his phone for over a month (sent supposedly brand new from them…although the SIM card was already in the slot and the large SIM card missing) We’ve spoken to several customer service agents and it’s still not working No one knows what to do This last agent sent us a new SIM card We are yet to receive it Hopefully it works when it arrives “You get what you pay for” This phone service and customer service are both definitely bottom of the barrel. They don’t listen, talk over you and the script they use is super annoying. Don’t know how they can focus working from home. I asked one of the agents if they were working from home Children crying. Screaming in the background. Chickens crowing. I felt like an inconvenience calling! She kept placing us on hold. She then transferred us without notice to some random person. Total wireless is a “Total joke”!!! They are “Verizon wireless left over scraps” This is Verizon Wireless version of “tryin to make a $1 wit 15cents” “The food bank of cellular”

If I could give no stars I would. Their customer service is worse than any I have ever experienced. I have spent countless hours over the past week (8 total just today) trying first to activate a replacement phone after losing one, and then trying to port it to a different carrier when they were unsuccessful. There were times when I thought I was speaking to robots instead of humans it was so scripted and round-robin. Hours of being on hold to talk to someone who can't help you and transfers you to wait more hours on hold, only to be told the same thing, and transferred again. It has been by far my worst customer service experience ever! I am now happy to pay twice as much to be able to speak with a person, and actually be assisted.

If possible, I would give them a NEGATIVE 10 stars. Worst customer service I have ever encountered! Most unprofessional employees (e.g. roosters crowing in the background, children screaming and laughing, etc.) Oh, and EVERYBODY is a supervisor! numerous calls to customer service representatives regarding the replacement of this phone which died after less than two months of usage. The first representative I spoke with informed me that this phone was not eligible for replacement. I proceeded to read the Total Wireless Terms and Conditions of Service to this person who then transferred me to a “supervisor”. After deciding that the phone was to be replaced, I received a ticket number to be referenced each time I called. Each call resulted in multiple transfers from one representative to the next with no satisfactory answer or result. I was told at one point that the only phone they were authorized to send was one of much lesser value than the one I had originally purchased. I have received no further updates on the replacement status and have spent hours on the phone with various representatives. I have no more time to spend on this issue which at this point appears to be simply a stalling technique. I could go on and on with the number of phone calls and many, many times of being transferred without result. This company has unscrupulous business tactics forcing me to file a complaint with the BBB. Do not walk away---RUN from Total Wireless!

I have been with total wireless for several years. Their customer service started out fairly decent but it has gone way way down hill. I purchased a phone from TW that included a month plan four our 4 lines... cost me $100 for this plus the phone. The way it works is when u call to activate the phone the monthly plan is added to ur plan.... but the guy who took my call to add this phone to the plan instead started a new plan.. the $100 dollars went w it. I have been on the phone for hours. One rep said she saw the problem and the bestbway to fix it was to wait till the end of the cycle and call back.. I did this. The new rep said she had it all taken care of.. I would have the $100 dollars we paid for applied to this month? So, guess what? It still didn't happen. So, now I'm on hold again w them... we will see how this turns out. Will they ever add the $?? I'm afraid I know the answer to this question and it's not good either. Please, if u r reading this considering transferring to total wireless, think again!! Update.... so, now we r another month past the earlier review. Do I have my money back? No. Long hours on hold. Promises to refund. Reference numbers confirming this is their problem.... still no money refunded. This is truly frustrating and unbelievably horrific customer service. Open or purchase a phone from total wireless at your own risk.

Spent hours on the phone trying to get a refund for services never used. Each gal spewed off that it is against policy and protocol. The “manager” said she could loose her job if she overrode it and she needs her job. Guess what, I need my money. I was with TW for less than 24 hrs. I couldn’t get phones unlocked to use on their system; therefore, unable to use any of their services. Will never consider TW for any future services. Poor, poor customer service and policy.

This just happened to me yesterday. I'm still trembling with rage. Tried to switch to another carrier and bring my number with me to the new carrier. They locked my number even though I was fully paid up and had been in good standing for 3 years. Claimed they needed to generate a 'NTP" - Number Transfer PIN, but mysteriously no one I spoke with was "authorized to do that". They kept me on hold for over 3 hours, kept disconnecting me and transferring my call to mailboxes and unstaffed departments. One Customer Service rep. actually had a ROOSTER crowing in the background for the entire call until he finally disconnected me - or perhaps the rooster chewed through the wires. You might save a few bucks on their service up front..... but trust me - YOU WILL PAY FOR IT IN THE END AND SORELY REGRET EVER DEALING WITH THIS COMPANY. No company that cared even a little about its customers would do this to them. Obviously they don't care, and it shows. Avoid Total Wireless at all costs. Even if the service is free, it is not worth it.
