Tirebuyer was a good deal offers a First Responder / military discounts so that was helpful. Very easy online ordering. They do charge install if you select a shop from the list. Beware the shop will try to get you to pay twice so after some haggling with my local Mr. Tire I was able to get them to accept the fact I had already prepaid for install. Otherwise it was pretty good experience. This was 2nd time I have used Tirebuyer I used to use Tirerack but then found out about discounts.

While each representative we spoke to was very kind, our experience was terrible. Our tires were originally sent to an installer that could not accommodate our 22” rims. The tires were then shipped to a different installer, but the installation fees did not transfer and I was expected to pay 160$ for installation. I was told by tirebuyer they would issue payment, but they still have not and the installer is calling and texting me about payment, when I have already paid an installation fee. I am very disappointed and frustrated, and I assume now this installer will be hounding me for months about a free I refuse to pay twice.

Tire Buyer has had competitive prices, good selection, and free delivery (quick too if you live close to a warehouse hub). But, they have stepped it up a notch by dialing in the installation process by incorporating that cost up front and confirming the schedule. In the past they lacked any coordination with the installer and you were likely to be hit with extra costs. Five stars for improving that critical last step.

I ordered a tire from them through Walmart. I then found one cheaper on line and canceled that order which they approved. I then tried to order the tire from another provider on Walmart at which time Walmart said there was suspicious activity on my card and canceled my order and put a hold on my card. Fine. Stupid, but fine. Three days later, I then ordered the tire directly through Tirebuyer with a different credit card, which was approved, and I have the order receipt and number, etc. The tire never arrived, so I contacted them, and they said it was canceled because my card was declined. This was a lie as there is nothing wrong with my card or my credit and the charge was approved immediately, hence the receipt. Apparently, they saw the same name and address and the previous cancellation and some lackey or bean counter decided to cancel that as well. When I asked them directly if they were refusing to sell me a tire, the rep said I should check with my bank. What ridiculous customer service. My credit is good, my second card was NOT on hold, and the rep was about as rude and condescending as they can get. Never will I buy anything from this company, and I recommend that others pay close attention to their customer service.

First time using an online tire buying website. Tirebuyer was recommended to me by a neighbor. Website was easy to navigate and the selection and ordering was easy. The only concern I had was the limited local tire centers that participate in this program to install the tires ordered.

I ordered 2 tires, 1 was delivered on time the other was not. I had to call in to find out it was on back order and they did not have a firm date of availability. As the vendor you should have alerted me of the incident and proposed a solution to be or upgraded/substitution or refund.

I am unhappy with the overall experience because the store didn’t realize that tire buyer pays for installation before hand. Maybe there should be some better communication between tire buyer and the store and maybe the guy behind the counter at the store was new and didn’t understand. But it took 15 20 minutes to get it all figured out. Am I going to have to call the store every time to confirm they got paid for the installation?

Nothing went well. Two tire orders , and both came in intermittently. The undue stress due to personnel reading from a script rather than taking the time to understand the problem.
