If you are looking for a new or used RV, make sure it doesn't have a norcold refrigerator in it. We have 2016 Durango 5th wheel purchased new in2015 and having ourn3rd refrigerator installed next week. These things are absolute junk. Only reason we will replace it with another is because warranty company requires cooling unit be replaced. Get a residential model instead.

I paid extra to have a part delivered, two weeks and a few more days later the part came, it was poorly packaged, the part is UNUSABLE, I emailed the company again and got no response, even before that I had emailed them, called and left messages, never a response, phone hours only a five hour window, no tracking info, nothing. Norcold let me know that the Norcold Guy was in NO WAY AFFILIATED with them, all I have is a worthless part. Kent Mccleskey

I received a Wrong Part for my Norcold 682 which was recommended through an internal online link at "The Norcold Guy", I have since been unable to receive a proper return process. The customer Service appears DOA. Buyer beware. Looks like they need some adult supervision. After I actually receive a full refund (I hope) I will be cancelling my account with "The Norcold Guy". Just a report on my experience as a warning. I bought an Arp contoller from him and Yes it seems to work (at least I haven't had a fire yet). BUT my experience this past summer says beware. This seller (as well as the product and its developer/inventor) have a very long way to go to make it a user/installer friendly product. Anyone attempting to install should unless very lucky (or already refrig industry savy) expect a long aggrevating learning curve and some of the most convoluted support I have in 30 years of technical experience ever seen. And watch out for buying from anyone other than the inventor at arp.com. Heres my experience: My Norcold temp controller went out from a lightning power surge. Getting a tech to com out to deal with it ended up impossible and extremely expensive and no one would touch the arp. After research I found the product via "the Norcold Guy's" web site. I talked to him and ordered it after being told it was a great product and easy to install. They sent a controller for the wrong refrig and didnt even know there were different models for different refrigs. Then it was sent to the wrong address and instead of overnite it went out 4 days later. After finally getting it, it didnt work (remember wrong refrig). Went to the Arp web site and tried to plow thru the product manuals (the worst technical writing imaginable). Had to talk to the owner. Was told I had the wrong product and had to reorder. Did so. Called owner back to get much needed clarity on bad product manual. Owner confuses me with some one else and sends me on a wild goose chase. Finally get it running only by trial and error and numerous redos. In short It took 5 weeks to get it running correctly and a lot of spoiled food and ice cubes. But it does finally seem to be doing the job.

So very sorry about your experience in ordering the ARP. You're not alone on this front which is a big part of why we're no longer selling the ARP. We had many packaged improperly and the support was not what it needed to be to service our customers. While this experience was not a pleasant one, we hope you'll allow us another chance in the future, should you need any other parts for your Norcold refrigerator.

Initially I was very pleased with the ease of ordering, as well as the quick shipment. However, the order was missing one item, and there is no comment about it being back-ordered, or unavailable. The packing slip only showed the 5 items shipped, but did not even mention the 6th item I had ordered. I have tried to contact the company several times, by phone and email, and have not received any response. It has been over 6 weeks now. Since the part is already paid for, I should at the very least, get my money back. The complete lack of communication is unacceptable!
