The worst! Lost paperwork, lack of reliable communication. I don’t understand why there is not a class-action lawsuit. This company and the examiners that falsely pretend to do their jobs, should all be held liable in a court of law. It’s like a soldier killing innocent people, but shouldn’t be attacked in defense because he/she isn’t the President that commanded the war. Make the Claim Examiners who lie accountable as well!!!! I don’t think this poor excuse of an Insurance Company should be legally operating.

This is by far the worst insurance company I have seen. They find reasons to not pay you while on short term disability. I had surgeries and needed my short term income. They wouldn’t send the paperwork to the doctor to fill out kept saying they faxed it when the doctor has the fax machine right at the desk for the techs to get. They deny claims never paid once. I now look for jobs that don’t have Hartford for their insurance providers because they all work together in trying to force you back to work by not providing you income on your leaves. This is really a problem when you are already sick then have to worry about how to pay your bills. After all these reviews say they same thing this really is a class action law suit.

The Hartford 'manages' short term disability claims for the company that i work for. The Hartford is very difficult to contact. They claim that they don't receive emails that I send them from their own web portal! You can only call if you know the representative's extension or last name, which they do not provide. They also provide false info to my employer

I have homeowner's and auto insurance through these people. After our roof leaked we decided to put in new floors since the carpeting was ruined. I took out a $12,000 loan for floors and painting. The carpeting was removed and revealed serious mold and water damage that we did not know about. So I contacted The Hartford and they sent Servpro out and Servpro sent in Hazcorp to do air quality readings. The whole house had high levels of mold spores considered unsafe. So for 3 weeks Servpro worked here tearing out walls, ceilings and floors. I had to take out another loan for $8000 to pay my "share" if the cost. There was plastic sheets put up on the walls and ceilings which are now falling down. It's been 5 months. I was guaranteed that the rebuilding would be paid by insurance. However, what I wasn't told was that was only if the adjuster approved the cost and I had to find my own builder. So I found 2 builders and they submitted their cost which ranged from $36,000 to $25,000. I'm still waiting for someone to approve one of them so my house can be put back together. With the plastic falling down I've got all kinds of critters coming in, bugs, birds, a bat and raccoon. It was cold in here all winter and still is. It's been 5 months and no end in sight!! This is completely unacceptable! This is my home, my safe place and now I'm afraid to sleep for fear of what might end up me. Did I mention the bedrooms cannot be used so I've been sleeping on the couch for the entire 5 months. I'm 77 years old and $20,000 in debt to make this house livable and I have nothing but a big mess. The Hartford has to be the worst insurance company and I want to warn everyone to beware. If you think you have a great insurance policy, better think again.

I'm a dentist with commercial property insurance sine 2003. In 2020 they refused to pay for a broken pipe because it wasn't inside the building. In 2022 they refused to pay for a broken pipe inside the building because they said it was wear and tear. Don't waste your money here!!!!

I requested an FMLA (unpaid) beginning August 25th for only ONE day per week off to attend to my son's special therapy education even though he goes every single day. A few weeks and months go by with no issues. Then all of sudden they deny the leave request saying the "frequency" of education was written incorrectly because the therapy clinic didn't specifically say "frequency EVERY day" but instead it says "at LEAST 3x per week." Okay fine, I had the manager at the clinic fill out another form. Another fews weeks and month go by, they deny it again. No phone call or anything. Now the issue is that the correct form needs to be filled out. Okay, fine. I had the manager at my son's clinic fill out the "correct" form. Another couple weeks go by and I get another denial letter in the mail. I had to call them AGAIN, and the issue now is the DOCTOR has to fill out the form. Since the beginning I already told these people that the DOCTOR/PSYCHOLOGIST will not fill out anything because his job is to provide a diagnosis, which is taken to the special education clinic where they then come up with a therapy plan based on the diagnosis. The PSYCHOLOGIST has nothing to do with the therapy, so why would he fill out a form stating the frequency of therapy visits? I explained this over and over to these people. They deserve ZERO stars for lack of listening and understanding, lack of communication, and way of handling the situation wanting one thing after another even though their reasons of denial and what they asked for didn't even matter. KORI ANSELMENT and her team should be replaced with more competent workers.

Worst insurance company I've dealt with in 30+ years. The wind blew many shingles off my roof. Two years later and about $5000, I finally got a check after hiring several experts. RUN from this company!!! Dr. M.D.Allen

Regret. Got insurance, took mature driving, zero tickets great record. Paid CA DMV 14 dollars to lift suspension on registration (not even due yet) set up both Hartford app on cell and laptop, set up account online. Days later had vandalism with auto, broken window, called filed claim. I was not given policy number. I went online to retrieve it and the system will not upload account for 48 hours!! WHHATTTTT????? Now I can't drive my van, no one answers or responds to simple policy number needed,I was told I needed to produce an MVR, NOOO Hartford needs to call CA DMV and request DVR AGAIN!!! Simple stuff folks. I have paid for horrible service, oh and I can't get window fixed unless they have yep, POLICY NUMBER....I hate this insurance company, all the stress, aracaic systems online, I regret and will reconsider staying with these people as I have a n EXCELLENT driving record and I am sure other insurances would appreciate that. EYE ROLLING
