Very bad communication and translation of what happened, I have an employee after quitting the job, she make an false scene that she get heart and made a police claim and her case dismissed by the court, sealed. Then she start to do 3 claims for work compensation, and you gave her settlement for what? I know she have some people work in your company, but I don’t know if she can affect the settlement

Avoid The Hartford at all costs. I had my family member to take medical leave due to an illness, and dealing with this company has been an absolute nightmare.  The incompetence started on day one. An agent opened my claim online and gave me a claim number. When I called back to check on it, a different agent told me no claim existed. They had to open a second claim from scratch. Next, they sent the wrong medical documents for my doctor to fill out.  Once those were finally corrected and submitted, I was told my assigned agent had changed, and I had to start over with someone new. The communication is non-existent. They never contact you with timely updates; you have to constantly chase them down just to find out what is happening. The staff could care less about the humans behind the policy.  Long story short, after a massive, drawn-out runaround designed to stall the process, they denied the claim. They did this despite receiving every single piece of medical documentation from every doctor's visit I’ve had since the start of the claim. My family member's doctor filled out piles of paperwork and even called them directly to emphasize how critical this medical leave was for their health. The Hartford does not care about taking care of their customers. I highly recommend looking elsewhere for any type of insurance. It is very unfortunate the existing companies from long time and that a non profit based health care companies are using Hartford as their third party company to handle this which is more disheartening.

My wife and I have signed up with another insurance company. Your services and lack thereof is no longer needed. We didn't get an appropriate service about a claim this past June. We feel we were misinformed by Robin about a 1st claim for my wife's Mustang which happened in a groceries parking lot, after all these years with your company. Before the claim, we asked Robin H. since the claim was finalized the other party's insurance had settled the claim as 50% at fault, if I could pay for my wife's car damages, out of pocket. Your agent told me that a claim is currently in motion and it can't be taken back. However, she did not tell us that although the claim cannot be taken back, the dollar amount would show a $0 balance which would not affect any increases with Hartford nor any other Company, even with an "Accident forgiveness" clause included in our current policy. Misinformation leads to mistrust. In conclusion, we won't be staying with Hartford.

The Hartford is a scam. I had to go out on leave due to illness and in spite providing literally all of my medical documentation from every doctors visit that I’ve had since the beginning of the year, they denied my claim over and over again. I don’t recommend using this company for any type of insurance because they don’t believe in taking care of their customers at all. The staff could care less. They don’t contact you back with timely updates. You have to reach out to them.

Absolutely terrible experience. They claim to provide supplemental disability insurance. I went on FMLA and was out of work for a month. I was even admitted to inpatient treatment. My doctor provided the documentation they requested but they spent over 2 months stringing me along and asking me to be patient. Finally, they denied me stating that my ability to work wasn't sufficiently supported. Terrible customer service. Terrible experience. They are crooks.

Had my car and house insured together, called to cancel. They said they would mail me a cancellation letter, instead emailed. Called cribb, got help with the email cancellation. They canceled my house that day when I asked to have it a week later. Canceled my car policy on requested date. They screwed me, I believe on purpose for canceling. Avoid this agency. Also told me to watch out my new company would raise rates. Funny they raised my rate, thats why I canceled.

Switched my auto insurance to Hartford in February after hearing they had special discounts for AARP customers. In May my wife's doctor told her that she could no longer drive anymore. So I called customer service to tell them that we would need to take her name off the policy since she would no longer be driving. The customer service person told me they would take care of it. A couple of weeks later I went in thru their App to check my policy and saw that it had been flagged for cancelation. Called customer service to find out why policy was flagged for cancelation, and I was not notified. Customer Service told me it was a underwriting decision, and could not give me anymore information about it. I ask the person on the line if I could speak to a manager about this. She told me a manager would call me in the next 48 hours. Nobody ever did. I have had auto insurance for over 50 years, and have never experienced this kind of service or conduct. AARP should be ashamed promoting this company. I will never buy insurance again online only with a local agent. If this story let's others considering Hartford to think twice before getting auto insurance thru them. Then writing all this down was worth the time.

They sold me flood insurance for $600 only to deny my claim when I actually had 1" of water in my condominium. They have all this small print that excludes coverage based on almost anything they can dream up. God forbid they actually insure my property for water damage completely beyond my control. Then I can't cancel the policy, which is bull shit.
