A Second Chance at Life
One of my rescued dogs was in bad need of help. She had to have all of her teeth removed and she only weighed 6 pounds. Her skin and coat were very poor and I thought she had brown feet and tail. Started her on small meals of Happy Howl diluted until her mouth healed and then she could eat it herself and she loved it. She passed away this week at 14 lbs and as healthy as an old dog with a life of poor nutrition could be. By the way, her feet and tail were NOT brown, they were white but stained from the rust of the cage she had been in. Her last year as she gained weight she began to walk and even run again now that she had food that she could eat, digest and nourish her body. I only share this because hopefully you will never experience this with your dogs but Happy Howl was nutritious and the right size for a little dog with no teeth to eat it on her own, digest it and had healthy poops. It certainly helped her become the dog she was meant to be in the last year of her life.

Thank you for sharing your story. We’re deeply touched to hear how Happy Howl helped your rescued dog enjoy her final year with improved health and vitality. It means a lot to us that our food could support her nutrition, comfort, and quality of life, especially given her challenges. We are so sorry for your loss and grateful that you gave her a loving, nourished life. Stories like yours remind us why we do what we do every day.

My dogs love the product....me....not so much. Let me explain...your packaging is not conducive to ease of use to someone with arthritis in their hands. I did resort to cutting the top off rather than tearing but the actual packaging is fairly thick and not even easy to cut. I understand the idea behind the packaging but would love an easier option.
Response from Happy HowlJan 12, 2026
We’re sorry to hear that the packaging has been difficult to manage, especially with arthritis. We really appreciate you sharing your experience, and we’ll pass this along to our team as we continue to explore ways to make our packaging more user-friendly. If you’d like, our customer support team can offer some tips for easier opening. Please reach out at [email protected].

We’re sorry to hear that your Great Dane isn’t enjoying Happy Howl despite your efforts. Sometimes even the most adventurous eaters need time to adjust or may prefer certain flavors. Please reach out to our customer support team at [email protected] we’d be happy to suggest alternative recipes or options that might appeal to your dog.
