Because Happy Howl is crafted from real, whole-food protein, fruits, veggies, vitamins, and minerals, each carton contains roughly 400 calories of balanced, nutrient-dense nutrition—which functions very differently than traditional processed kibble or standard caloric formulas. Thank you for the feedback! Our food is shelf-stable and stays fresh up to 119°F, which is why we don't use dry ice and cartons may feel warm upon arrival. We pride ourselves on using real ingredients that smell great, so hearing that yours had an unpleasant odor is unexpected. Did the food have a rotten smell, or was it just a strong scent?

We’re always happy to share a little more about our recipes and sourcing: Our recipes include a small number of synthetic vitamins and minerals selected for their absorption and stability. These nutrients are chelated, meaning they’re bound to amino acids to support bioavailability and help your pup absorb them efficiently. They work alongside our natural ingredients to help provide a complete and balanced diet. We source our ingredients from farms in the U.S., with our partner farms located within 100 miles of our manufacturing facility in Wisconsin. Our food is prepared in a USDA kitchen that follows strict FDA guidelines. We also use non-GMO produce and source pesticide-free fruits and vegetables. While our produce isn’t certified organic, we hold it to high standards for cleanliness and safety.
