Happy HowlWhere it started:Rocky changedeverything andI never set out to start a dog food company. My husky Rocky had the worst stomach on the planet. Years of vet visits, prescription diets, and hundreds spent on premium food brands. We tried everything. Nothing worked. So I decided to build it myself. 36 recipe iterations. Countless hours with vets and nutritionists. All chasing one question: what’s the best food we could possibly make for a dog? When we finally got it right, Rocky was the proof. He hasn't been sick in over 18 months. He runs three miles with me every morning. That's the standard every Happy Howl bowl is held to. Nothing less.Colin Buckley– Founder

My dogs love this food. I use it as a topping on their dry kibble.
Response from Happy HowlJan 19, 2026
Using Happy Howl as a topper is a great way to boost flavor and nutrition, and it’s awesome that your dogs are loving it mixed with their kibble. Thanks so much for sharing and for being part of the Happy Howl family!

My dog likes the food. A little pricey but so are many dog food options. What annoyed me was my recurring subscription went from $167 to $184. When I looked at the breakdown there was an additional $17 tax the next time. Same order. Not sure if it was a 2026 change- but if that was the case, I should have been made aware. A notice should have been sent. This made me feel like I could not trust the company and that charges were being added without customer knowledge. Had I received an update to the change in tax amount I probably would have continued, but a price change for the same autoship order with no transparency rubs me the wrong way, as it would with any product.

Thank you for sharing your concerns, and we completely understand how unexpected charges can be frustrating. We want to clarify that the cost of Happy Howl itself has not changed, the increase you saw was due to tax changes in 2026, not a change in product pricing. We’re sorry this wasn’t communicated more clearly upfront; your feedback about transparency is appreciated and will help us improve notifications for future updates.

The dogs love it ! The only thing i don't like is the container the food is in. It very hard to get it out when half finished

We’re so glad your dogs love Happy Howl! One tip some customers find helpful is using the included spoon.

Sorry. The food looked good, smelled good and was easy to start adding it into her existing food but frankly Foxy Lady turned her nose up and didn't like any of the sampler pack and she tried all flavors over a period of time as toppers. I know Shiba Inu dogs are picky but.....
Response from Happy HowlJan 19, 2026
We totally understand, some Shibas can be especially picky, and it sounds like Foxy Lady is one of them. If you’d like, many customers have had success using Happy Howl as a topper mixed with her usual food rather than a full meal right away. Sometimes gradually introducing it in small amounts helps even the pickiest pups warm up to it.

My dogs love their food, I wish is more affordable
Response from Happy HowlJan 19, 2026
We’re so glad your dogs love Happy Howl! Many pet parents feel the same way about affordability, especially when feeding multiple pups. One way to help stretch your budget is by using Happy Howl as a topper—just a little mixed with your dog’s regular food can boost flavor and nutrition, and it helps the product last longer. You can also save 20% with a subscription, which many customers find makes regular feeding more affordable.

Would highly recommend. My dog licked her bowl clean, not a piece of food remained in her bowl. Smacking her lips as though she was saying, "tasty".
Response from Happy HowlJan 19, 2026
Thank you so much for the wonderful recommendation! We love that image, an empty bowl and happy lip-smacking is the highest compliment. It means the world to us to know your pup enjoyed every last bite. Thanks for sharing your experience and for being part of the Happy Howl family!

We have been trying a variety of brands for several months, with limited success. He would eat a little bit then walk away. We found Happy Howl and tried their sample pack and he ate every bite of all three flavots, and came back for more. We have just ordered our 2nd 18-pack and he is still cleaning his bowl every meal. His weight is stable and his energy level is excellent.
