I'm thrilled to have found this product…
I'm thrilled to have found this product for my dogs! Both of them absolutely love Happy Howl. It's amusing to see how excited they get, even an hour before mealtime, knowing they’ll enjoy a delicious meal! I have to use slow-eating bowls for both of them because they tend to gobble it all down too quickly. My German Shepherd struggles with hip dysplasia, and my Golden Retriever has arthritis and digestive issues. Finding the right diet for them has been quite a challenge, but Happy Howl has made it so easy for me to feed them. I’m curious if Happy Howl plans to develop specialized foods or supplements to address other health concerns for a more customized diet. - John, Madison, WI

Peas/legumes tied to DCM on dogs
I can’t recommend this food due to the connection between legumes and cardiac issues in dogs. I tried it out knowing there were peas in the recipe but there were so many that I felt too guilty feeding it to my dog. What if he were to get DCM and it could be traced to a choice I’m making? I can’t do it. If the recipe changes to not include legumes I would be open to trying again

So far Oakley is enjoying the beef and…
So far Oakley is enjoying the beef and turkey. He is a very picky dog so we are happy that after a year of trying over 4 meal plans and homemade cooking we found something he gobbles up

After trying happy howl with a slow…
After trying happy howl with a slow introduction to our greyhounds’ diet and a transfer from The Farmer’s Dog fresh food, both of our greyhounds kept eating grass and had loose stool with mucus, as if something in the food was too rich or inflammatory. We wanted to like this food better for them for several reasons. It’s travel friendly and doesn’t need to be refrigerated, it last for iver two years, and it’s less expensive. Unfortunately, we will have to return to the simpler ingredient list of the farmer’s dog food.
