Happy HowlWhere it started:Rocky changedeverything andI never set out to start a dog food company. My husky Rocky had the worst stomach on the planet. Years of vet visits, prescription diets, and hundreds spent on premium food brands. We tried everything. Nothing worked. So I decided to build it myself. 36 recipe iterations. Countless hours with vets and nutritionists. All chasing one question: what’s the best food we could possibly make for a dog? When we finally got it right, Rocky was the proof. He hasn't been sick in over 18 months. He runs three miles with me every morning. That's the standard every Happy Howl bowl is held to. Nothing less.Colin Buckley– Founder

Great quality AND our very picky little dogs are taking to it well, though I have to roll it into tiny loose meatballs for them. Dunno why; they're wierdos. They especially like the Grandma's Beef Stew. The fact that it's shelf stable is so great for us because we travel by car here and there. So convenient!

We absolutely love the visual of tiny loose meatballs—hey, whatever the little rulers of the house demand! We're thrilled that your picky pups are loving Grandma's Beef Stew and that our shelf-stable packaging makes car trips so much easier for you. Thank you for sharing your adorable mealtime routine with us!

I was set up on auto ship had one order shipped to house in Florida. The next auto ship went to Florida as well when I noticed it was shipping to the wrong address I called customer service to change it they said they could not do I’m out $98 in food got an email 2 days later of an order shipped to wrong address again I called customer service to find out what the heck was going on because I changed address and was supposed to be fixed said the couldn’t cancel I had to change through ups cost me an additional $63 still have not got my food nor did I get reimbursed for $98 that was auto shipped to wrong address. I will order through Amazon from now on.

We appreciate your feedback and are so sorry for the headache this address confusion has caused you. Managing split addresses between homes can be tricky, and we hate that you're out of pocket for these shipments and carrier redirect fees. Once an automatic order processes in our system, the shipping details are locked in and can't be reversed or reimbursed on our end. Thank you so much for sticking with our food!

The food is great, my dogs love it- I generally just give it to the small dogs but once in a while I give it as a topper to the big ones. What I do not like is being bombarded with emails
Response from Happy HowlJun 3, 2026

Told them to cancel two months ago and they canceled just that order even though I told them dog wouldn’t eat product anymore… now a new shipment was delivered and I’ve been charged $178. They wouldn’t work with me. Bad customer service…..product is good.
Response from Happy HowlJun 7, 2026
Thank you for your honesty and for the shout-out to our quality! We apologize for the breakdown in communication regarding your request to stop shipments. Because our fresh meals move so quickly into fulfillment, we weren't able to intercept this delivery or reverse the charge. We value your business and your feedback, and we're here to help you make any necessary adjustments to your account settings if you ever reconsider Happy Howl.

The customer service is wonderful! I have a picky Yorkie and canceled the prescription because he wasn’t eating the food. Come to find out, he just doesn’t enjoy the lamb meal. The Customer Rep sent me a list of suggestions on what might help him love the food again like adding bone broth, or heating the food. I started doing both suggestions and he loves it, except lamb. He won’t eat it with broth, warmed up, nothing! That’s how I found out he didn’t like lamb.
Response from Happy HowlJun 3, 2026
Now that is some excellent detective work! We love that a little warm bone broth did the trick for your Yorkie—even if he has officially put his paw down when it comes to lamb. Thank you so much for the wonderful shoutout to our customer care team. We are always here to help you navigate mealtime, and we look forward to keeping his bowl lamb-free and delicious moving forward!
