Happy HowlWhere it started:Rocky changedeverything andI never set out to start a dog food company. My husky Rocky had the worst stomach on the planet. Years of vet visits, prescription diets, and hundreds spent on premium food brands. We tried everything. Nothing worked. So I decided to build it myself. 36 recipe iterations. Countless hours with vets and nutritionists. All chasing one question: what’s the best food we could possibly make for a dog? When we finally got it right, Rocky was the proof. He hasn't been sick in over 18 months. He runs three miles with me every morning. That's the standard every Happy Howl bowl is held to. Nothing less.Colin Buckley– Founder

I have two fussy dogs and have tried everything they did not like this either unfortunately

Thank you for giving us a try with your two pups. We're truly sorry to hear that it wasn't a match for them! Every dog is unique, and sometimes even the best recipes don't fit every fussy palate. Best of luck finding a food they love!

My dogs love this food. One of them is 12 years old and she is the pickiest dog ever! She has not turned her head once on this food. She quickly eats it all and continues to lick her bowl after it’s gone. The food is great for trips we take as I also feed raw. I do wish the protein content was more.

Thank you so much for the fantastic review! Knowing that your ultra-picky senior is eagerly clearing her bowl—and even licking it clean—completely makes our day. It’s also wonderful to hear that our shelf-stable packaging is making your trips so much easier. We also really appreciate your feedback regarding the protein! Because a single-source protein is the very first ingredient in all of our recipes, Happy Howl actually packs a very high-protein punch. We deliberately craft our meals to be fully balanced—combining that high protein with wholesome fruits, veggies, and essential vitamins and minerals to give them complete nutrition. We are so grateful to be a trusted part of your dogs' travel routine alongside their raw diet!

I am trying to cancel my subscription with Hungry Howl. My dog does not like it. I am not to good with computers and I got nowhere with calling the service number. I now have thirty boxes of Hungry Howl because you sent me another order. If I don’t get this settled in time I will receive another order I’ll have to pay for. Then I will be donating more to the shelter near my home. You make it to difficult to cancel subscriptions.

You have continually screwed up our orders. You have sent and charge me for items that my dog is allergic to and that I have notified you about numerous times.

They were proactive reaching out to me to see if I needed help figuring out what to order. Then reached out to see how my experience was going with my picky older rescue and their products. I had decided on a trial set of three. They were helpful and not pushy at all. I have since placed a larger order that shipped very fast. I love the fact the food is shelf stable for two years and is made in such a way that the nutrition stays intact. They store easier than cans or refrigerator bags of fresh. His digestion has improved and he has gotten a little spark of pep in his 18 1/2 year old body. It’s been just over four weeks now. That to me was impressive…hopefully he will continue to eat it. I rotate the flavors to keep his interest.

Thank you for taking the time to share such a beautiful, detailed look at your experience. We always want to be a helpful resource for pet parents rather than just another subscription, so hearing that our check-ins felt supportive and not pushy means the world to us. More than anything, we are so incredibly happy for your 18 ½-year-old rescue...just WOW absolutely incredible!! Improving digestion and gaining a little extra energy at his age is a beautiful milestone, and your strategy of rotating the flavors to keep him interested is fantastic. Thank you for making us a part of his golden years. We’re so grateful to have you both in our family!

My dog snifted and turned and walked away. Tried for over a week she ate around your food but wouldn't eat it. I have been trying to cancel everything with your company. Sorry..

We appreciate your honest review and the patience you showed in trying our food for over a week! While we're disappointed our recipes didn't win her over, we completely understand your decision to move on. Thank you for trying us out, and no apologies necessary—we wish you and your dog the best!

Our 2 frenchies love it, we get the beef and the lamb combo packs on auto order every 2 weeks. Their coats are shiny, they're happy and healthy! Its a very affordable option and the fact that its shelf stable is the best part! No more worries about how to store it or how to take it on trips. Thanks happy howl!
