Picky Aussie decides she loves The Farmer’s Dog food.
I switched my female Aussie to The Farmer’s Dog food about a year ago. She had always been somewhat picky about food. She immediately accepted this new food, and, if anything, became a little too plump! So I have split each package into 5 portions instead of the normal 4, unless she has worked hard and needs extra food. Her coat is very glossy and sleek, and she seems to be in great health. Her favorite flavor is the beef, but she likes all the varieties in her shipments. I give The Farmer’ Dog food an excellent review, not only for the quality of the food, but also the customer service. I am very satisfied with them. I would happily recommend this food to anyone who seriously loves their dog and wants to provide the best food they can. It might cost a little more than average grocery store kibble, but it doesn’t have fillers and preservatives or sugars that many types of kibble does. It’s real, human grade ingredients. You do need to keep it frozen and remember to move it from freezer to refrigerator a day or so ahead of time to have it ready to feed. It works out alright for me, as I have a small, separate chest type freezer I keep it in. If you’re in an area prone to power outages, you’d need to have a backup plan to keep it frozen,, but that’s the same with human food too, so I don’t feel it’s any more of a hassle than ensuring your own food is kept safe. I am hoping the current issues of fuel cost and supply chain problems in this country won’t cause any major problems for The Farmer’s Dog, but we are all in uncharted waters on that topic. All things considered, my Aussie, Reba, and I give The Farmer’s Dog two thumbs, or paws, way up.
