We made a custom order November 2020. Still have not received our couches!!!! There has been no communication on their end. I call/chat online every few weeks myself to get updates.. I get a different story every time. They will not allow me to cancel order because it was a custom order. We already paid 50% upfront! Last chat today we were only offered $200 off for the inconvenience.

It's a little scary to purchase a set of theater chairs sight unseen, without the opportunity to sit in them and know how comfortable they are, how well they fit your particular body. In our case we bought one model thinking its slender design would work best with the size of our room, and then discovered they weren't as roomy as we would have liked. We contacted The Theater Seat Store about making an exchange, and they made it totally hassle-free. From the first phone call through the final exchange, The Theater Seat Store has provided excellent customer service, and delivered an exceptional product. Pleasant and professional on every call, assigning a single point-of-contact to shepherd us through our purchase from the time we placed our original order to the time our exchange was completed, and clearly focused on ensuring total customer satisfaction, they exceeded every expectation. We LOVE our theater seats and have been recommending The Theater Seat Store to everyone who sits in our chairs.

Do not order from this website. After ordering and paying half up front, we were assured that the order would be delivered at 12 weeks out, max. The order still has not arrived almost 4.5 months later. I see other people on here were offered a heads up on shipping and the ability to cancel their orders for refunds - we were never given that opportunity. Without any warning, the shipment showed up at our house, but since the driver was alone, he told us he couldnt deliver the order and left, even though we paid for white glove service. We have no idea when he's coming back and the only response I can get from customer service is "oh, well our shipping company doesn't provide tracking updates. Dont worry I'm sure it's fine =)" Just find a store and get a chair locally - dont go through this company, it's not worth it.

We purchased a chair from the theater seat store about a year ago. When it finally came the chair was damaged badly. My husband contacted customer service and after a bit of back and forth we were sent a new chair. This experience wasn’t pleasant, but things happen. The reason I am giving this store a one star is because almost a year later we have been charged an additional $900 out of our bank account! Imagine my surprise when I went to check out balance and realized that money was missing. I contacted the theaterseatstore and back and forth by end of day was told there was an error on their merchant-e account where people were being charged again for old purchases. I was told they didn’t get the money and I needed to Contact merchant-e. Needless to say we filed a report with the bank and I contacted merchant e who were also no help, and we have yet to get a refund. Please please please do not purchase from these people if you do not want your money to suddenly go missing a year later!

Not very happy with them, I placed and Order on 12/4. I wanted delivery for Christmas, but the offered delivery by 2/14, ok, not great but ok. They required 1/2 of the money down ($1K), which I put on the credit card. No word from them about delivery. On 2/19, I called and the delivery was now estimated for 4/1, and no they would not guaranty that. So I cancled the order 2/19, they said they would return the money to my credit card (though did not get confirmation of that as promised) . As of 3/5 - no refund yet, was told "I was in the front of the line" and it would take another week to get refund back because "They only have one person who does that"... and I guess it takes that person three weeks to get arround to giving that money back,, though no promises that it will happen yet. If they are going to ask for money up front for a not-guaranteed delivery date, they would at least refund my money within a week of them falling on their face.

The seats are fantastic. Attractive for recliners, appear to be solidly made, and just comfortable as can be. But it was a beast getting them. They were 3 months late arriving. Blamed on COVID, which is probably legit. I imagine by next year, I will have forgotten that. Order early, and you will be happy once they finally arrive.

Do not waste your money on the white glove service. I did and the delivery guys had no idea how to assemble the chairs. My wife and 16 year old son coached them on assembly. I am not stretching the imagination at all. As I posted before, this has been a really horrible consumer experience. I will note that the customer service manager "Sarah" did help when others did not. She was professional and responsive. She should probably look for a better employer. That being said, I would never recommend to anyone they purchase from this company. Sorry but there are plenty of companies that sell high quality theater seating with great service. This just happens to not be one.

I'm disappointed that Theater Seat Store offered no follow though in completing my order through delivery. I'd tracked our order to see that it arrived in my area and expected to be contacted about delivery. No contact was eve made. I called Theater Seat Store for an update and was asked if I contacted the shipping company - I had no idea why we would need to do that when our order was placed through Theater Seat Store. It is incredibly frustrating to spend so much money and have to jump through these hoops to see the delivery through myself.
