Matías is a phenomenal tutor, guide, resource and extension of the BarMax program. I can wholeheartedly say that I would not have sat for the February administration of the bar without his support and guidance. I literally planned to reschedule for the July test when, as a last resort I decided to try private tutoring. From the very first session I felt a weight lifted off of my shoulders and psyche. Matías helped me schedule every aspect of my studying going forward and I was able to utilize this schedule along with our individual sessions to prepare to the best of my ability for the bar exam. Study tools, test insights, essay/MPT strategies, fail safe MBE approaches, and time management are just a small array of the methodology provided by Matías. I entered the test with more confidence and preparation than I could have ever imagined. Matias is an excellent tutor. He invests himself in his students as he truly cares about their success. He is great at identifying areas in which you may be weak and need improvement then will work with you and adjust, as needed, to make sure you get to where you need to be on bar exam day. I worked with him over a four month period in preparation for the Uniform Bar Exam and steadily watched my scores increase on all sections of the Bar Exam as I continued to practice them and turn them in for feedback. He will give you a good talking to if you need it (and I regularly did), but it is only because he cares and is invested in your success. Among other things, he is a master at teaching you how to work on the Bar Exam within the limited time constraints. I never could have timely finished the entire exam under such strict time constraints without his help showing me how to organize and write my answers. If you hire him, you will not be sorry!

I purchased the private tutoring package with TestMax. Every week, Matías and I would meet to go over any areas that I had weaknesses, including essays. Matías taught me techniques that I used on the bar exam that allowed me to write effectively and efficiently. As a nontraditional re-taker, years removed from law school, I needed a program that would work with my extremely busy schedule and demanding corporate job. I originally used Barbri and Kaplan as most law school graduates do. I found that those programs took the kitchen sink approach which was neither beneficial nor efficient. The BarMax difference was astounding. I was able to study wherever I was, with synthesized, targeted information and had confidence because I was studying with actual questions. The one thing I’d recommend is adding a table of contents to the outline book to make it easier to revisit subject outlines when reviewing questions. The biggest benefit was the addition of a tutor. When I considered a tutor, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but wanted to maximize the limited study time I had. Matías Gonzalez really helped me to hone in on my weaknesses, talk through the issues and get regular feedback. My improvement from the first session to the last surpassed my expectations. If Matías didn’t have the answer, he found out and we addressed it in the next session. When he realized that I was anxious about the remote environment, he obtained additional information for me. He is very invested. I have to say that his dedication to his students is really impressive and made all the difference.

LSATMax helped me increase 20 points from my diagnostic score! The office hours with the tutors, on top of the video lectures, were extremely helpful to figure out how the real experts think about the test and go about solving problems in each section. The lectures are great and the course is very complete! Some tools like being able to see your performance on specific question types were super helpful for me in tackling my weaknesses!

I saw ads for LSATMax and after some initial prep with the self-guided modules, decided on getting a tutor. That decision was the best one I could have made and working directly with Rosalyn Leban really made a difference. Within 2 months my timed practice test scores were up 10+ points and most important, I didn’t feel like I sacrificed learning the test. We targeted areas where I was weak, drilled those topics and also worked on timing. The best part was having Rosalyn’s experience as a tester who also worked full time. It made her such a great resource for how to structure my study time, where to spend my energy and how we could adjust when “life” happens. She’s a fantastic tutor and I think she’s especially great if you’ve been out of undergrad or the classroom for a while, if you work full time or you have anxiety about the test in addition to learning the material. Waiting on my February test results but I felt more confident answering and approaching the test with her help. All of this makes the investment worth it and the time needed to see movement in your score.

I had a great experience with LSATMax. My score ended up improving by 16 points from my initial baseline. I didn't have a ton of time flexibility when I started, so it was very helpful to be able to do the course/study at my own pace. LSATMax is great for the self disciplined and those who don’t have the opportunity to sit down and study for 8 hrs a day. You control your lsat studying experience, lsatmax will give you all the tools to succeed, so you have to take advantage of them. Also, shoutout my man Robert for being the realest man ever.
