I had two or three interactions with Mehran and the first two (?) were alright, but the last communication with him was very unpleasant. We were on the phone (I prefer phone to text), and his manner was quite dismissive. I thought he was rude. As a student, I believe I am as worthy of time as anybody else. I have a good friend who is an HLS grad. In general, I would like it if the course took a more active role in the study process. I miss the live classes, and I would like it if I had people to study with. I feel like I am studying all on my own.

I am a European Lawyer, with a legal education based on entirely different legal traditions and standards than the US system. English, while almost bilingual, is not my first language, which adds an extra layer of difficulty to an already brutal exam. After failing on my first attempt using Barbri (expensive, confusing materials, and frankly criminal that they charge X times the price without even using real exam questions), I found BarMax and Jennifer. EASE OF USE. ARRANGED IN A LOGICAL ORDER

This was the first course that in my opinion will give me the skills necessary to do well on the LSAT. Also, I don't feel like I am on my own. In the past, the courses I took only offered office time to get an answer only once a week. I couldn't get a hold of anyone when I needed to.

I passed the CA bar exam (February 2026) after failing the July 2025 exam. I am a licensed attorney barred in Minnesota. Prior to the 2025 test, I had signed up for BarMax bar exam test prep course, and it prepared me well for the MBE (I achieved a passing score) but I didn’t adequately prepare for the essays. When I decided to retake the exam, I signed up for a tutor who provided invaluable guidance on essay structure and advice on the subject matter areas to study (shout out to Melissa!). Having a tutor kept me accountable to do practice essays, and helped me to study in the most efficient and effective way. Celeste and Melissa provided great guidance that helped make the difference. I’m incredibly grateful to two outstanding tutors who played a major role in helping me pass the February Ohio UBE Bar Exam: Emily Morgan from BarMax and Dona Zimmerman from Your Bar Exam Tutor. My intention to give a review is not just sugar coating or trying to be nosy brown, I'm writing here to explain my experience studying with the last Max. LSAT Max provides all we need for the LSAT test. Their casts and instructions, trainers are professional with a high GPA background. The sources and materials they provide are useful. The app is amazing, highly recommended.
