I had Jaime Papa as my tutor for the February 2021 UBE exam. He was extremely helpful. He walked me through how to properly answer essays and multiple choice questions. As a result of his help I went from failing in all UBE jurisdictions for the July exam to passing the February exam with an increase by 59 points.

I signed up for BarMax for its MBE program at the recommendation of a friend after multiple unsuccessful attempts at the California Bar Exam. BarMax has not disappointed me. Compared to the MBE program of other review courses, the biggest distinguishing factor is that they force students to figure out why a correct answer is correct. This feature may appear frustrating in the beginning but it proved to be critical to my success at my most recent try at the California Bar Exam. By asking questions to challenge the correct answers given, students gain a deeper understanding of the law. I also like the interfaces of the MBE program, which allows students to quickly jump to any particular question. I highly recommend the MBE program of BarMax.

Such a horrible scam company. I requested a refund after a week of purchasing their 10 hr tutoring, and after submitting formal documentation as a requirement to be considered for a refund- I am not ignored by the CEO on following up on the matter. He has been unprofessional from the beginning, and continue to uphold the scam-like persona. Don't get this test prep- go to Kaplan, they're legit. Edit: he wants further formal documentation which would be personal financial information which is far beyond invasive for a simple refund request from an untrustworthy company.

Hi Carla, we apologize for any inconvenience here. We are happy to make exceptions to our stated refund policies as we understand that circumstances do change, but to do so we would require formal documentation. We checked your account and it still seems like we are missing the documentation we would need to move forward with this special refund request.

Wonderful experience with Barmax. I graduated from law school 17 years ago and passed the exam in NH. My work after law school didn't require a bar nor was I interested in taking a bar exam. Seventeen years later and circumstances changed. I'm thrilled with the result.
