Unuseable Tempurpedic Mattress
We have received a dismissive email from Tempurpedic Warranty Canada rejecting our claim. Tempupedic says it uses a .75 inches sag criteria to replace our mattress and our sag is only .5 inches. So, it says our problem is a matter of comfort not a sufficient sag to be covered under their warranty. The .75 inch is rather arbitrary and does not take into account the performance of the mattress when it's in use. This criterion seems designed to protect Tempurpedic from replacing mattresses. I cannot sleep on the mattress without continuing to injure my back. To date, I have spent about $2000 to treat my back injury. I am now sleeping in the spare room on an IKEA mattress and frame. If needed, I could replace the IKEA mattress at least four times over the eight years since we bought the Tempurpedic mattress. The Tempurpedic mattress is clearly not worth its cost. I would not recommend Tempurpedic mattresses and certainly not their customer service unit. I have proposed it be renamed the Claim Rejection Unit as it provides no service. In sum, Tempurpedic's mattress guarantee is worthless.
