This company will take your money.
So I transferred $50,050 to TT to try them out while they had a promotion for keeping 25k on their brokerage for a year and getting $500. After trying them out, I realized I didn't like their format and said forget the $500, I'm out. I moved my 50,050 back to my bank and thought that was it. Suddenly, as soon as my money hit my bank account, I saw that there was an immediate unauthorized TT withdrawal for $50,550! $500 dollars more than I withdrew. Well, I contacted TT about this, and they said that I had withdrawn all my money to get my $500 bonus back and they were taking it back. Apparently, someone had misread $50,050 and thought it said 50,550. I never even saw the $500. I spent 2 hours explaining this to customer service, posting screenshots with the deposit and withdrawal side by side and they just couldn't comprehend it. Trying to get them to differentiate between the 10th and 100th digit was like teaching quantum physics to a monkey. I'm not making this up, they legitimately couldn't add together 2 numbers. Finally, I escalated to their bank, and they had the same problem. Only after writing up a literal chart for a 4-year-old, with simple arithmetic adding the 2 numbers up and posting the screenshots side by side were they able to comprehend that 50,050 wasn't the same number as 50,550. Even after the unauthorized return of my money over a non-existent bonus, they doubled down and said, while they would return all my money, it would only be AFTER locking it down for 3 weeks. I said nope, reported the crime to my bank and they snatched the money back from these room temperature IQ, slack jaw, mongaloids. They then tried to defend themselves saying, it wasn't us that withdrew the money back to TT, it was you, here's the IP address coming from your account username! Despite initially ranting about how they took it back to get their money back, despite my clearly wanting my money out, and despite the amount being exactly $500 more, they still tried to say they didn't do it. I explained that any one of my interns worth their salt could spoof an IP from outside TT and definitely if working with them and that IP address meant nothing if you knew anything about networking. In conclusion, they certainly seem like criminals to me and definitely cannot do simple athematic to the 10,000th digit and I would hide my money in a dirty mattress on the street before trusting them with my it. Hope this helps someone! Edit to reply: Nope. I still have the receipts of TT helpdesk ranting about how they pulled the funds to "get their bonus money back" and they know that, as they've already seen them. That's why my bank pulled the money back from these amateurs against their will when I showed the bank the receipts. TT is just not trustworthy. Do not use this brokerage.
