Not a pleasant experience!
Beware the "after hours" call! My neighbor smelled propane leaking from my 250 gallon tank. Suburban originally set up my tank with a new regulator and gauge about 7 years ago. I found the leaks with soapy water and turned off the valve. I don't know why Suburban felt it necessary to come out "after hours" when I called them, but they did, and I had no idea I would be charged nearly 3X the normal service call fee. $255!! If they had informed me of this, I would have told them to wait until normal hours. At the end of the day, all the service rep did was turn on the gas, perform the same leak check I did, then turn off the gas. Total value of this service = 0! I asked to have the charges reduced, but they would not accommodate, so I paid the bill and closed the account. All of this was no surprise once I found out they are a California based company. I will be engaging one of the many Texas based outfits going forward for tanks at two locations in the Texas Hill Country! By the way, I'm also not surprised to see that the vast majority of feedback about this company is rated 1 star, and that's probably being generous, as I don't believe 0 stars is allowed.
