Plain awful. We simply needed 3 carpeted bedrooms cleaned. The house is a new move in, empty. Relatively clean already, but we wanted fresh clean carpets for the bedrooms. The job looked like they didn’t clean anything at all. Some small stains still remain in one bedroom. I even got on my hands and knees to smell the carpet and it smelled and felt like nothing was done. I understand they charge “extra” for deodorizing, but if the carpet had just had hot water extraction, it should at least smell fresh! I was not the person who was present to monitor/evaluate the cleaning that day, but I never would have let them leave the carpets in such crappy condition if I was! I called to complain, sent an email saying I wanted a refund. No reply from email sent to local branch owner. When I called, they did offer to send another tech out, but that means I have to take a day off work to sit around all day and wait for them to show up and ‘re-evaluate’ the job. And frankly I don’t trust their service to retreat anything. I don’t even want to see their truck. Give me my refund so I can rent a machine and do it myself! Thanks for nothing but aggravation and stress.

Stanley Steamer badly damaged our hardwood floors. The manager (Jason Champ) agreed and offered to pay for it, but now won't return our phone calls. Can't say we recommend them.

I will say one positive thing, the man was very nice. But I think all he used was hot water. I honestly couldn't smell any cleaner and afterwards he said he was spraying it with a stain guard and fresh sent. Again I think he only sprayed water. My husband and myself could never even smell anything. After it dried all of the stains were still there. I understand a pet stain but the traffic area was still as dirty as it was when he started. I ended up using my home steam cleaner today and actually did a better job. If I could I would give them zero Stars. I honestly want my money back it's the worst job I've ever seen.

As a gesture of goodwill, they offered to provide a future carpet cleaning service at my convenience, which I greatly appreciated. More importantly, their willingness to revisit the situation, communicate openly, and work toward a satisfactory resolution showed that they truly stand behind their service and care about their customers’ experiences. I am grateful that my concerns were ultimately heard and addressed appropriately. The effort made by the company to resolve the issue and make things right is sincerely appreciated. For that reason, I am happy to update my review and recognize the professionalism, integrity, and customer care demonstrated in resolving this matter. Companies should not be judged solely by whether challenges arise, but by how they respond when they do. In this case, the company showed a genuine commitment to making things right, and that is something I truly value and respect.

The tile cleaning service was okay--not great as some residue remained on a few floor tiles--but a small onyx statue worth more than $300 in the foyer was missing after he left. It was there when he arrived, and my husband and I were the only others in the house that day. Please ensure this doesn't happen to you.

This review is negative not because of the actual service rendered by the technicians (who were great) but because of the corporate side of the transaction. I had an appointment window of between 11 and 2. At 1:06, I received a text that my tech was on his way. I live in the smallest state in America. One can travel across the entire state in less than an hour. At 1:45, when no one had showed up, I called customer service. It used to be local; now it is apparently all centered in Ohio. Unfortunate. Customer service said that dispatch anticipated another 15 minutes because he was “coming a long way.”. I was thinking to myself “is he driving from Wisconsin?” What I didn’t realize was that he was in fact in another state, Connecticut. The dispatch apparently had no spatial perspective because at 2:40, an hour and a half later, after my window had expired, no one had yet arrived. To make matters worse, the tracker they sent me was hopeless. When it finally worked and signaled me that the tech was 9 minutes away, it rerouted me to another tech, who was now 20 minutes away! The original crew eventually showed up just before 3. But 10 minutes later, ANOTHER crew arrived also. Turns out the folks in Ohio confused my order with an old one and thought I had two open appointments making it all even worse. After speaking with a manager, he gave me an additional 10% discount off my bill for the inconvenience I have been caused. When the tech actually presented me the bill, there was no such discount. They couldn’t even get that right. I have been a customer of Stanley Steemer for a long time. I have never seen such a mess. I need to find someone else when franchisees get taken over corporately, it always goes to hell.

The carpet was not cleaned well. I removed more spots after they left. The tech did not care.

I chose Stanley Steemer because of the brand recognition, but the service did not meet my expectations at all. The quoted price increased once the technician arrived, and I felt pressured to add extra services that I never requested. The cleaning itself seemed rushed, and several spots looked unchanged after everything dried. What disappointed me most was the lack of follow-up when I contacted customer service with my concerns. I expected a company of this size to stand behind its work, but getting a response was difficult and no meaningful solution was offered. Overall, I paid a premium price for results that were average at best. Based on this experience, I would not use this service again.
