I did not see these reviews until immediately after I placed my order (I know...not smart) and I got very nervous. I have to say though, my experience was perfect. I got a good deal on a somewhat obscure round and it showed up 3 days later in what appeared to be sturdy packaging. Granted, I did not have to deal with customer service, and poor communication seems to be a common thread in the negative reviews; although I did receive email updates when the status of my order changed (including tracking info). In any case, don't assume that EVERY order they put out is problematic. In this case I think the low rating just means they're not quite as reliable as some competitors and unhappy people are more likely to post reviews than happy people. And before you ask, no... I do not own, work for, or have any affiliation — directly or indirectly — with this company. I just figured since they're getting slammed on sites like this I should mention that I had a good experience and some transactions do go smoothly. In fact, statistically speaking, I'd say odds are good you will be satisfied like I was.

I ordered one of The Sportsman Guide's gas masks, one of the Serbian M2s they had advertised. Considering the M2s are harder to find in a full kit, I was happy to see they were selling it for such a good price, and even paid and extra 5$ for faster shipping. I had previously purchased a Serbian Military Surplus Monocular with Leather Case and was satisfied with my previous purchase. Unfortunately, they shipped me a completely different mask than what was advertised, a Serbian M1 from the 1970s which I could have purchased for much cheaper from other sources. When I wrote in to complain about this and their product page being deceptive, all they agreed to do was refund the 5$ shipping. Nearly a month later, they have not updated their store page and haven't posted any of the reviews I've written on the product. I recently sent them another complaint on this matter, and they have yet to respond. Do not buy their products, especially their gas masks.

They list some items as being US Military surplus, then you get some chinese knockoff. FR-HQ Brand is not US Military its Chinese.

Sportsman's Guide has excellent prices if you pay to join their club. I shoot enough that the savings on ammo more than make up for the membership fee. The one time I had an issue, it was with a meat grinder. I left a negative review of just that product. Customer service contacted me and gave me a full refund. You can't ask for better service than that.

DO NOT PURCHASE FIREARMS FROM THIS COMPANY. They sent my firearm in the wrong finish and refuse to do anything about it. Customer Service Supervisor Michelle was rude and told me I was SOL. Some customer service!

Ordered gun on 4 pay. The gun arrived on time. Was a very smooth transaction. I definitely will order from them again.

I have been a customer for over 20 years and overall have had a good buying experience. The return policy is good and the sales personnel have been helpful. Much of what I wear to work and other outdoor activities comes from Sportsman Guide. Now, I am very disappointed to see they are selling the deadly AR-15 rifle...the choice of mass murderers. I am about to end a 20 year relationship with them because of this.

If you want to wait a month to get a crappy product then buy from here. Take care of your customers or you will no longer have them!!!
