My daughter-in-law had received a couple of packages from spoonful of comfort when she was ill. I was so impressed that I ordered one for a friend who was injured. The first delivery did not get delivered in time due to bad weather between us and had to be thrown away, but the company went above and beyond and was so nice to replace it. My friend was so impressed that she has ordered three more times from them. The food was excellent. They were very impressed with the quality, the taste and everything about it. I highly recommend this company for any occasion.

I first received Spoonful of Comfort after loosing my best friend. After loosing my husband, Spoonful was sent to me 3x. When tragedy hits, one forgets to eat. Comfort soup, homemade biscuits and cookies are so very comforting. I now send Spoonful to many for their Comfort. I've even included cozy socks which were so appreciated. I told my funeral director where my husband was waked, please, if people ask what they can send, send Spoonful of comfort. I love this company. Soups are so delicious and other added choices are so thoughtful.

I first learned of this company when my father passed away and received a yummy care package from a friend. Through trauma, you barely have any appetite, but this soup hit the spot and gave me the nourishment my body needed, while my soul healed. I've since sent a few packages myself to others to all rave reviews. Having most recently been sick myself, I again received a care package from my mother with the most delicious tomato basil soup. I scoured the internet to see how I could recreate this recipe and found that Spoonful of Comfort posts their recipes - what a wonderful surprise that this information is shared - now I just need to order the yummy rolls and snickerdoodles for my husband :) Thank you, Spoonful of Comfort, you truly are a perfect comfort when most needed.

I really wanted to love Spoonful of Comfort. The packaging was absolutely beautiful and gave a wonderful first impression. Unfortunately, the quality of the food itself was disappointing, especially for those who prefer clean, wholesome ingredients. The cookies are made with bleached flour and have a noticeable aftertaste. The bread is overly spongy and contains dough conditioners, which isn’t ideal for those who avoid processed additives. Most disappointing was the chicken soup—while it looks homemade, it contains dextrose a chemical additives that can be problematic for people sensitive to such ingredients. If you're sending this to someone who is unwell or has dietary sensitivities, this may not be the best choice. While the presentation is lovely, the ingredients don't align with a clean eating lifestyle. I really wish the quality matched the care put into the packaging.

Sent a sick friend a get-well box. Paid for standard shipping on Friday, it arrived on Tuesday with good tracking. The recipient texted to say that they loved it.

I paid an extra $40 for expedited delivery. As of today it hasn’t even shipped yet. I called them three times and had to leave voicemail messages because no one answers the phone. Sent an email. Completed an online request form. No one has attempted to contact me. All I have received is an automated email response. Company blames the weather? Weather doesn’t stop you from answering your phone. Or customer service. UPS says item isn’t even ready for pick up yet. This company pretends to be customer oriented but it is not. At all. I will never trust to use them again.

Most importantly, the food quality is excellent. Unfortunately, the packaging is incredibly wasteful and ultimately expensive for the consumer. Every item in our box, from soup to rolls to cookies to mini pies was needlessly packaged in their own heavy duty cardboard boxes within cardboard boxes, resulting in a large pile of waste to be recycled…over 28 pounds total with food items weighing no more than 5 pounds. Worse, the company promotes this excess packaging as some type of attractive bonus. Lose the excess waste and let your products stand on their own high quality.
