The idea is unique and I think it would if the product were somehow better
The cost, however, is exorbitant for mediocre food
My recipient appreciated the food but explained it was just so so and that’s not what I had for
Order from a local restaurant and have a delivered it would probably be much much better and more expensive

Depends on recipient’s actual needs
I’m not sure that well-wishers understand: this is meant for people who can’t necessarily obtain food on their own.
I’m a caregiver for a nonegenarian friend. Every time he feels bad, someone sends an annoying “spoonful of comfort.”
It’s 3-4 boxes within a box, with ice packs, which all takes more than half an hour to deal with if you’re asked to reconstruct the “lovely and useful” boxes. “Sure, I’ll save them all.” But we haven’t used them and the boxes take up a whole cupboard in the basement. It’s just SO much trash for 4 servings of frozen skimpy soup.
The look of it is cheerful, but the food is rather sad. The rolls are dry and the cookies are crummy. The only time Ray has finished a bowl of their vegetable or chicken wild rice soup is when I’ve doctored it with actual chicken and veg, or added some Progresso from a can.
It’s a fine gesture if your recipient is alone, or you do it once, but it not worth the hassle for someone w/ caregivers. Of course, your recipient will tell you it’s very thoughtful—even as the fifth unused ladle clashes into the junk pile.
Before you gift a lot of these, perhaps send one to yourself.

Not Much More than Good Packaging and Delivery
The best thing about Spoonful of Comfort are the 5 or 6 chocolate chip cookies.
The next best things about Spoonful of Comfort are the packaging and delivery. They are well done.
The packaging says the soup contains wild rice. I found none -- though perhaps there is a bit of white rice.
The soup liquid is over 90% (by both weight and volume), but is not overly salty. The next largest component is probably carrots. Chicken meat, white(?) rice, and celery appear to be lesser percentages. At least the spices probably won't offend.
The rolls are not unusual.
I think any comfort is in the mind of the sender.

The perfect way to show care and love across the miles to a sick relative
Spoonful of Comfort was the perfect gift for my aunt who was housebound due to a nasty respiratory virus. I was texting and joking with her about needing chicken noodle soup to feel better. That's when I remembered Spoonful of Comfort. I sent Chicken and Wild Rice soup, Garden Vegetable soup, the rolls, and Snickerdoodle cookies. I scheduled the box to arrive on a Friday. When the box arrived, she was so overwhelmed by the quality and kindness invoked by the thought of soup as a nurturing gesture, she cried. She called me, thanked me over and over, and said that she is usually the one sending the care packages. I knew this. That is why I sent it to her. She said she felt loved, cared for, and remembered. That is exactly how I wanted her to feel. I couldn't be there to physically take care of her, but Spoonful of Comfort helped me out a bit. She said both soups were very delicious, the tea was exquisite, and she loved the rolls. She called and texted everyone to tell them what I had done and how it made her feel. Great idea. High-quality packaging, on-time delivery, great add-ons, good pricing, and delicious food.

This is the THIRD TIME I am commenting…
This is the THIRD TIME I am commenting on this company. I originally gave them 3stars because the soup was good but Not only did they TOTALLY BOTCH the delivery date of my order (delivering it 5DAYS early) but now I am dropping them down to 1star because they are trying to play dumb and not understand why this was so important.
I have explained it first to the person talking the order over the phone (BTW I HAD TO PAY $25 EXTRA TO HAVE IT DELIVERED THE WAY I WANTED)
2nd in detail in my first review
3rd in my expanded explanation and now
again because they don’t understand why I am upset that my order wasn’t delivered as arranged.
I am not surprised that this company ethics a non existent. I will never use them again. Everyone I know is aware of their negligence and will not even consider trying them.
If you wish to play the innocent martyr in this scenario so be it, we both know the truth.

Lives Up to it's Name
I ordered on two separate occasions to two different friends. Both were thrilled and delighted with them! One told me,and trust, she would tell me if bad, the Tomato Basil soup was the best she had ever eaten! Both mentioned the delightful and cheerful packaging. A real pick-me-up. One suggestion, more vegetarian options. Not cheap, but definitely delivers it's promise of "Comfort ". I will order again and again!

Truly awful food! Hard dry cookies, soups are bland and too salty. Rolls were quite stale. Just nothing to recommend at this site!
