I went Telford shopping centre a few weeks ago I parked in a disabled bay on the car park next too the shopping centre put my blue badge on display I checked at the ticket machine too see if I had too pay for a ticket for one hour aswell cause some car parks you have too pay for an hour even though you’ve got a blue badge but there wasn’t anything saying that it just said blue badge holders free parking now I’ve received a £100 fine but it’s reduced too £60 if I pay it in 14 days i tried too phone smart parking but the number on the letter they sent me is disconnected and the only other way too contact them is by Email but I prefer too talk too them on the phone than Email I had a parking fine in December last year and same the year before that companies like smart parking are nothing but scammers all they’ve got is a camera what shows you entering and exiting the car park but they haven’t got a warden walking around the car park 🅿️ like they should have this smart parking company doesn’t give a toss about elderly and disabled people 🤬

Discusting company. The fines are completely disproportionate. They use scare tactics. This company needs government regulation and an independent investigation.

100% not recommend to use this parking. It is a fraud and scam. If you use it, you must be the next victim. I parked my car at GOOSE GREEN MULTI-STOREY in Altrincham on 1 November 2023. The payment machine was faulty, and showed that credit card/ debit card payment were not accepted. Only cash payment was available, so I paid cash afterwards. The payment machine failed to print out the receipt, I talked to the security, and he said the payment will be updated automatically. Unfortunately I suddenly received £100 penalty charges letter from its operator Smart parking on 2 December 2023. I am shock.Smart Parking promiscuously charge penalty to parking users as cheater.

Oh, hello! I have been caught at Riviera Centre, Torbay, when I have had an appointment to have my COVID vaccine, on the 9th of October 2023.. Arrived 20 minutes early. Waited in a qué for my turn, took approx 15 minutes or 20. Walked back to my car to wait another 15 minutes /half hour to make sure there is no reaction. I was thinking, well, it will be over the 'free parking' time, but didn't want to risk it. I am working in NHS, as a HCA. Hahahaha. I go by the rules, and driving safe it's major. So, glad that I didn't drive off, as I had a faint attack. Stayed in my car waiting to see whether passes or goes worse. Forgotten about the time. Also not knowing it's a 'smart' parking,not a clue. I have soon found out. Received the penalty via post, appealed as I wasn't 'fit to drive'. I have done the safe and correct thing. Fortunately the fainting attack passed with cold sweats and difficulty breathing, but passed. Put myself together, and drove off very cautious. Unfortunately, almost a month later received the fine notice, appealed, but the appeal wasn't accepted and i have now to pay the fine. That was one expensive vaccine. Lol. Never ever again!! NHS hubs should be anywhere where these type of parking businesses ARE NOT, and for that matter, no business should do business with them! And I am sick at the feeling someone there becomes very wealthy, the money do not even go to the public use via council. Shame on you. I really will be very cautious from now on, but also, I shall take it to our MP. And some more, as they technically asked me I should have drive when unfit to do so. I didn't think for one minute to crawl and pay for the extra time, I was grateful the fainting passed without other consequences. So, again, this is one expensive vaccine. Move the vaccination centre, my lovely colleagues! People coming there get stung with expensive fines.

Had an emergency my son lost his keys in Dreamland Margate, his girlfriend is disabled, he has a heart condition so being stranded in Margate is not good, we traced back everywhere we went to deduced it to Dreamland Margate, thankfully the keys was in Dreamland but it took them ages to find keys then I had to prove they was my sons keys through a series of questions, I am also registered disabled I have a motability vehicle and blue badge, I parked within the proper blue badge parking zone, displayed my blue badge, went literally a few minutes over the ten minutes allowed time to find a parking space, what a get rich scheme (what if you get jammed in the car park can’t get out go one minute over you will get a fine) this is the worst company ever they reject appeals even when it’s an emergency and your a blue badge holder, they are a scammer company working on a make money and threaten people with courts etc, where is big brother to regulate such get rich quick companies like Smart Parking the allotted time should be longer than ten minutes, the company name should be S stands for Scamming, P stands for People so the new company name for Smart Parking for me is Scamming People and threatening people with court action etc, this company needs to be investigated by somebody to stop such heinous behaviour towards the general public, what was wrong with the company not accepting my appeal, I apologised and everything now I have the stress of finding £170 pounds because by the time the appeals people rejected my appeal it had gone over the allocated time line for the lower amount, so they sent me the new amount over. Avoid using their car parks so hopefully this company will go under and never hurt or disrespect another person ever again with their draconian attitude.

Had an appointment and went up by 2 mins, they sent a fine which I appealed heard nothing back and then got sent a fine of £160, no correspondence received to tell me if it’s rejected or not absolute joke they know how to take/want your money.

What a rip off, parked up put reg number in m/c, paid my money. Did not realise only the first 3 letters had been printed on ticket. Got parking fine £100 a month later. Appealed and sent picture of parking ticket with dates and times on it, but only half reg number on it, got reply 23 days later, appealed failed and they blamed me for not putting full registration number in. Fine reduced to £20, if not paid fine will revert back to £100. Paid £20 because could not get in touch with anyone.

An Absolute set of rip off merchants went for a day out with my disabled mother to the market at Fantasy Island and few weeks later got a PCN through the door so I contested it and some penis has been on a computer all day to see how they can get the money. My Personal advice DO NOT PARK in this car park or else you get a pathetic ticket and where does the £60 go ???? NOWHERE car park is an absolute disappointment no disabled parking at all just n absolute junk yard with cowboys who fine you.
