If I could minus this company I would. They put up poor signage to catch you out ( usually low level behind parked cars). The fine you , you appeal and they refuse to take any accountability for their shockingly bad business. Absolute robbing con-company! They should be ashamed to even run.! . They should be investigated for being a rogue trader!

Smart Parking gives you 14 days to appeal from the date of the alleged parking infringement but I only received notification 16 days after the infringement. When I tried to use the company's online appeal process it asked for an 'invoice number' but it does not supply that number in the correspondence. I tried entering the parking charge number but that does not work. When trying to contact the company, there is no telephone helpline and the email contact says it does not deal with anything to do with appeals. Clearly, this company needs to be investigated by the ombudsman. It is little short of a scam.

I paid £12 a day for parking in at a Smart Parking-managed lot in Inverness, Scotland. I parked in exactly that lot for five days. The machine I used to pay for the parking asked for my vehicle registration number, which according to the key chain on my rental car was GB123-456. I was photographed every day parking in same lot, with my license plate clearly visible: 123-456. I came home three weeks later to £700 in parking fines from "Smart Parking" for parking in exactly the lot I paid to park in. Entering the GB, however, messed with their machine. I appealed to the company, and while no one disputes that I paid for parking in the lot that I parked in, no one is willing to refund the money (the fines were immediately paid by Avis, my rental car company). TLDR: Smart Parking stole £700 from me. And says it's my fault. We'll see what a court says.

Smart parking are a dreadful company and difficult to deal with. Issued parking penalties to paying customers at the Swan Inn Grasmere. Despite showing that we are patrons they did not overturn a penalty notice issued 16 days later

Horrible business- please stay well away. They will take you for money at every turn. Even charge you for their payment machine and to drop you to the airport. Insane. Admin fee is 40 quid.

This company should be investigated by the government. (Andy Burnham)they dismissed my appeal saying I put the wrong registration in the machine. I sent all evidence of payment. They reduced my payment to 20.00 from 60.00. I’ve paid it because it’s causing me so much stress, which is what they want. It’s absolutely killed me paying a corrupt company. In my opinion car parks should be all run by local councils. O and they could not provide any evidence at all.
