Duped into a hard-to-cancel subscription
I thought I was buying a sample box to try Smalls for the first time, but they actually signed me up for an expensive montly subscription -- a surprise that I only noticed in my email after it was too late to cancel the first $115 box of unwanted cat food -- and Smalls made it VERY difficult to cancel the subscription. (VERY difficult.) My cat liked the food, but it comes in unpleasant plastic packages that ensure that your hands get gloppy and smelly. I couldn't figure out a good way to store the opened plastic bags in the fridge except for in another plastic bag, which meant getting your hands messy every time you feed the cat. I'm sure the food is good for the cat, but it's also expensive.
