I bought 2 kitchen trashcans from Homesense and the lids broke within a year. Really badly made product. No wonder they were trying to sell a warranty.

Terrible customer service, one cannot talk to someone directly, either by text or chat. The product does not work anymore after a year. Never will buy this brand again.

I have 2 foldable squeegees that do not clear water anymore. Customer service told me they are out of warranty and the blades are not replaceable. This is a poorly designed garbage product. Would not consider buying other simple human products again.

I purchased 1 re-chargeable liquid soap dispenser a few years ago for kitchen, it stopped allowing charge, I had about 6 months I recall, per their instructions, I shipped back to them, they sent me a new replacement that I still use to this day. About 8 months ago I purchased same item for master bathroom in a different color, they never had problems and we still use today. About a month ago I purchased two more of same item for guest bathroom, they both stopped dispensing soap within a month, I had gone through their troubleshooting instructions but didn’t help, (using soap that they sell) and all I had to do was send them a photo of both items, provide serial numbers on bottom and they just shipped me replacements. I am extremely satisfied with their customer service. I admit I do not like that communication can only be done through chat or email, but they have stood by their products with my 2 separate purchases and sadly this isn’t the norm anymore with countless other businesses. It’s very refreshing. I received my replacements within a week.

Simple human products are absolutely awful. they charge avlot which seduces one to thinking they are of high quality and they look good which makes one feel they have a quality product but they are not properly engineered and have a high likelihood of breaking and their product support is abysmal.

Keep in mind that people often write reviews when they have a negative experience, and not too often when they have a good one. I looked at the reviews before I bought the garbage can and I was on the fence. When I bought it, it came in with a huge dent (FedEx’s fault, the box was damaged). I spoke to customer service, and they had no problem giving me a new can! His name was Joshua. He was so friendly and so kind. He helped me and within 15 minutes! I completely recommend buying through SimpleHuman.

I purchased a Simple Human $70 automatic rechargeable liquid sensor soap pump from Bed Bath & Beyond with the reasonable expectation that it was a quality product that would operate as represented. After approximately four months it neither dispensed soap nor accepted a charge, and BBB refused to accept a return because it was beyond their time frame for such products. Three weeks ago, I attempted to contact Simple Human to resolve the issue but discovered that live customer support for products under $2K is only available via automated chat or email, and there are no phone numbers listed on their web page. I used email and received an automated response indicating that information relative to my issue would be forthcoming within a few days. I received another email containing multiple links to various problems that were inapplicable. The email concluded by asking whether the response solved my problem to which I indicated no. As expected, Simple Human has not had further contact with me. Simple Human proudly claims to be 'obsessive about quality’ on its website, and specifically states “We put our product through rigorous testing to make sure it will look and perform like new through years of daily use’. Based on my experience, however, it’s abundantly clear that product performance through years of daily use and customer service are of total indifference to Simple Human on its $70 soap dispenser, and most likely, all products under $2K. This also speaks volumes about the culture of Simple Human relative to quality and customer support as actions always have and always will speak louder than words.
