Shoe CarnivalReviews of shoecarnival.com

Should be a big zero. I was at the Bloomingdale store and was assaulted by a employee. He called me to settle things outside as we exchanged words he pushed me. A police report was made and they have surveillance cameras and footage. I was gonna forget about this until the police said that the manager doesn't want us to come back to the store. How dare them. This review and a complaint with corporate will be done.

I ordered on 11/26 and the FedEx label was created the next day yet FedEx still hasn't received the package as of 12/2. The delivery time is horrible! I called customer service on 12/2 and was told the time is within the delivery window so nothing they could do. It's been a week and I can't track my order. Maybe it hasn't shipped, maybe it did, I don't know so I'm crossing my fingers and hoping for the best. As of December 5th, no boots and fedex website still only say label created with no movement. Shoe Carnival refuses to reimburse and keeps pushing out the number of days before they can help. I was told my issue would be escalated and I would get a call within 48 hours. Dec 7th, never received phone call so I called back. They had no record the issue was escalated so I have to start the process over. I JUST WANT MY MONEY REFUNDED🤬 DEC 8TH, finally received an email that they issued PARTIAL refund . They penalized ME because their failure. No one ever explained why I didn't get a full refund....The shoe was never shipped freight or restock fee wouldn't apply😡

Never ever will I order anything from shoe carnival, take to long for delivery and when my order came it was the wrong shoe size, called CS to complain and those folks don’t care, they want me to correct a problem they created, I was told to take shoe to a store for an exchange or refund!

They sold me USED shoes with the entire heel broken, the writing on the sole was faded, scuff marks on the bottom, etc. Unbelievable!

Should be 0. Placed order & got message that payment info was incorrect. Checked and tried again. Reentered 5 times & got same message. Immediately checked with Visa who said card was active & OK and that 5 payments had been charged. Contacted merchant via damnable "chat" with 48 minute wait. After advising them, got a response back so quickly that it must be one of their standard cut and paste answers as the best typist I've ever known couldn't type that fast. Their response, which was plain BS gobbledygook was, "Not our fault or problem, call your financial institution". Suspect this may be one of their business techniques. Wish I'd checked here first.

I've had some success with buying shoes there but I'm wondering if they sell "seconds" or slightly defective products. I notice this with the sandals mostly, especially the ones that are marked down. They just don't fit or look right. I bought 2 pairs of Reef Sandals that I really liked but within a few weeks the strap had stretched and busted out. I wanted to buy a 3rd pair but they're not well made. They don't hold up. All the other sandals seemed to push your foot way over to the left of the sandal...I know it sounds strange but your foot does not rest properly so it's centered on the sandal. I'm not saying they do sell slightly defective products but I'm wondering if anyone else has had this experience. That doesn't seem to be the case at other stores where you will pay higher and that's ok with me. You get what you pay for. Probably won't return. Left empty handed. Also was not greeted or offered assistance even though the employees were chit chatting alot of the time. Just ignored and that doesn't sit right with me.

Returns are a nightmare. Looks like someone wore the shoes. Looks like they are glued together, NEVER again. I do not have a printer to return. They want me to walk about 60 miles away to get a return slip. I just had a stroke, thanks for no understanding!

I am a former employee and the store was dirty, the manager I worked for was lazy and insensitive. This is how I truly think they should improve: Hiring people to actually do the work they are required to do, hire people with better work ethics, don’t demean others that are nice and compassionate, do not disregard others that have a different opinion than you. There are more ways than one to accomplish a goal. Hold people accountable for their mistakes and failures. People are not doormats that you can just step on when you’re mad and upset. People should be treated as you wish to be treated. That goes for employees as well as customers. Human Resources should have better attitudes as well. Employees should feel protected and valued if they have to report on management or decisions made that directly affects them. Personally, I didn’t feel protected. I didn’t feel valued. I loved and needed my job but from the overwhelming workload and stress I could not take anymore. Especially when you have to work with such a negative person. I would not recommend this job to anyone. One person should not have to pick up the slack of 4 people. One person should not be able to sit on the job all day long secluded from the sales floor while others have to watch the floor, take care of customers, etc. Think carefully before promoting people into positions that are too big for them to handle.
