I was looking for a one way ticket to Detroit! Found a good price at Shiva Travel early on a Tuesday Morning, and purchased the tickets online right away. About 4 hours later, I received a phone call from Victor saying that he had to cancel my reservation because he could not issue the ticket due to the fact I had a 3 hour layover in DC for a one way trip, on my way to Detroit. When I purchased the ticket, I indicated one way for 3 people, and was able to purchase the ticket, and subsequently received an email confirmation of the flight. Then, as I said, I got the phone call from Victor, and after he told me he had to cancel my flight, he offered me another flight for approximately $300 more. I have never had this experience with booking any flights online, and believe that once they send you a confirmation email, they should have to abide by their contract, as we purchaser's do! I want everyone to know that I feel they cheated me, and kept me from getting a lower rate by waiting for 4 hours to tell me they had to cancel. Horrible experience! I've since booked the same flight same route with another agency, NO PROBLEM! Shiva sucks!
