Hi. Until just recently, I've had no issues with this company. They have fulfilled their promises to me, including delivering two units originally ordered and a replacement once when one of them failed. I was able to get in touch with their customer service recently and they fixed things on my units to make the charge last MUCH longer (more like the 6 months advertised). My units work. They don't completely remove the need to clean the toilets, but I was hoping for a nice clean fresh scent and 70% cleaning and they have certainly achieved that. Suddenly I noticed I hadn't received pods whereas I had placed two orders. Now you can't contact them. The products work .. for me. Really well. I hope the app stays active! Also, thanks to the contributor below who provided their interpretation of the pod liquid, I've tried it in one of two units and I'll report back. I've reached out to the company too in order to see if there's anything that can be done to help them. Startups are tricky people, Indiegogo campaigns are always a risk.

It worked for a while. If you have an older toilet and hard water stains… no good..The stupidest thing that cost them money was the capsules. Just send a 16oz container and be done. Or from what I seemed to believe that it’s white vinegar. I’m trying that to see if it works if not I’ll toss mine. Good thing I refrained from purchasing more than 2. Maybe someone will pick up where they left off and make it better.

It’s a scam. Customer service is nonexistent and the unit does not perform as represented. After repeated attempts to contact customer support to no avail and hearing that they have likely filed for bankruptcy I removed mine and put it in the trash yesterday.

Complete scam and they're still taking money. Ordered in July and received updates that my order was coming soon.... nothing came and then learned they went bankrupt.

Ordered one Shine bathroom cleaner on January 19, 2021. I'm not the most patient person and after reading the delivery dates were several months into the future, I decided to request a refund in March. I figured once they were through the pandemic period and the demand, I would try to order again. I did receive my money back within a month. So relieved I dodged this bullet!! I gave three stars since I did receive a refund with no hassle at all. Sorry to hear it's not working out for them. It was an interesting concept.

To all who are disappointed with Shine: I’m a customer like you, and I, too, am disappointed. However, Shine was a start-up company. We were invited to “invest” in the company so they could do the R and D and have some money to get underway. I have done this with other start-ups with varying results. Sometimes you actually get a product! Well in this case it proved harder to maintain than it would be to clean the toilet! I’m used to this happening when you are an early adapter. However, since they are now bankrupt they should not still be marketing.
