The unit you wear around your neck is adjustable and when you press the help button the voice comes in loud and clear.

Although we had trouble with the set-up, it turned out to be a bad DSL filter on our phone line. Senior Safety sent a replacement unit and worked with us to determine that the trouble was, in fact, nothing to do with their equipment.
