They are terrible didn't even notify me that my account was being closed they don't even disclose the reason behind it don't waste your time they had me thinking I could deposit and even transfer one of my whole brokerage accounts and checking account

I am very Impressed so far with Schwab. The customer service is number one! My account has been open less than a month and I have called for assistance a few times and it is always the Best. The call centers are in the US. The website is great to use from my laptop. I prefer using a computer vs an app. I am a little surprised to see some of the negative comments. If anything changes, I will update. So far it is great.

Perhaps the best customer service I have ever experienced from any financial institution. Superb

I wish I could leave negative stars. Like many thousands of others I was left with a food order unpaid and no notice whatsoever from Schwab that my account had been suspended. This is now day four of no access to funds, bills unpaid, and I haven't eaten going on two days. They cannot still tell me why my account is frozen,can't do anything about it, and just give me runaround. I'm currently starving so Schwab can "protect" me.

I opened a Roth IRA with Charles Schwab in February 2022. In April 2022 I received a letter that they were closing the account with no explanation and I had 30 days to liquidate the account. I called to find out why the account was being closed and all they would say was it was a business decision. I liquidated the account and transferred the funds to a different Roth IRA. Charles Schwab charged me $75 in fees for the transfer that had to happen because of their "business" decision. I am extremely disappointed with the customer service shown by Charles Schwab with regard to my account. I respect their right to make a business decision but I do not understand why the basis for that decision is not provided to me and then I'm charged fees to resolve their decision.

They claim to have an International account service, but really it isn't. For example in Europe they accept only Germany and Spain . The other 25 European countries are not supported.

I am writing this because Charles Swaab took over TD Ameritrade, so its's really a TDA review, but Swaab owns it now. I tried to Rollover my 401K to a different company. The receiving company rejected the check, and sent it back to TD Ameritrade. It had my name and SSN on it, but not my TDA account number. TDA deposited it into another account holder's account (she had the same name, but obviously not the same SSN). My advice: Don't trust TD Ameritrade (or Charles Swaab, now that they have taken it over) with your money. A woman at the local Charles Swaab office was helpful in finding out what happened to my money, so that is the reason they got 2 stars instead of 1.

I travel internationally and I am very satisfied with Schwab bank. The customer support is friendly and helpful and they don't give canned answers. The ATM refunds save me money when I need to make withdrawals in a foreign country. I haven't used the trading tools so can't comment on that side of things. Don't use their services for wire transfers. I have only used the service once and they lost my money. The person I sent it to never received it and I never got a refund. I use a different bank for wire transfers as I cannot afford to lose twice.
