Absolutely horrid
Absolutely horrid. If I could give zero stars I would. Exceptionally poor customer service, not just poor. Literally the worst I’ve ever encountered.

If you a getting ready to retire don’t plan on using the Schwab Investment income to provide you with accurate informations. It goes through wild swings throughout the month and sometimes during week. Called and spoke to a Supervisor. He told me he needed to research and he would get back to me. He did but told me that he good not give me any explanation for my variance. Also told me that there was no one else at Schwab that I could speak with and that’s the way it was. Offered me $150 dollars for my trouble. I guess that cheaper for them then opening a trouble ticket to resolve my issue.

Take the negative reviews seriously before considering opening an account here. They do the bare minimum when it comes to trading. Did I also mention that they have the worst customer service ever? If you like wasting weeks or months to get a problem resolved (and even then it probably won't get resolved), then you'll love Schwab. Do yourself a favor and sign up for any other broker. Even a shady offshore broker would serve you better than this trash.

They take them getting used to, but they’re OK

I was switched from TD Ameritrade to Schwab when TD was purchased. Schwab provides no secondary quotes. Schwab doesn’t provide premarket quotes on indexes (futures). Their account totals are often wrong during premarket. I had two accounts with TD. Schwab moved one of my accounts six months ago. They still haven’t moved my second account over to Schwab yet. I’m now trying to figure out where to transfer my account. This is very unfortunate because I was happy with TD.

My mom died and left me as a beneficiary. Seems simple, right? Apparently not. They promise a 24-48 hour turn around everyday. I’m unsure if someone there isn’t able to read a clock, understand time but 3 weeks later and still waiting. Rep doesn’t reply to emails or return calls.

My Mother-in-Law passed away on 2/13/24 and had a Trust account with Schwab. Here it is over 2 months later and they haven’t transfered the Trust to the Successor Trustee. To make it worse they won’t freeze the account so it is open to market risk. I had a Trust with Schwab and am in the process of liquidating and transferring it to another Brkerage Firm. Beware!

You play by their rules, or you are punished. I had some credit spreads with both the long and short far OTM. Instead of expiring worthless in three days and taking the difference in sell and buy costs (about $500), Schwab exercised the options and cost me $1000. I was lucky I didn't lose more. I did the same trade with Fidelity with no problems. They understood what I was doing was no risk to them.
