Made my wife run home back wards and forwards for I,d two days after she nearly died and had a 0- blood transfusion to save her life, We also lost our little girl born at 22 weeks. My wife left her card at the hospital Because bank manager didn't know her after living in same town since she was 18 and banking with them at this branch for over 9 years. A man on a power trip telling a sick woman what to do disgusting behaviour. This has gone on and on now since august 2016. Banks stopping payments cards breaking can't withdraw all of this has cost me a slice off my buisness that would have turned over a million in its first year. With the excuse of following regulations yet head office Accepts its mangers discrection. I dont even know where to finish the list go's on.

Don't think they are anything other than a bank. They are all the same. And so are their TVs advertising

Appaling company.Openned my bAnk account,start to recive payments on it,after 3months they blocked my card for no reason.They sent me a letter stating to comme to the bank to prove my application and to Confiirm my address with a Bill,bring my passport and also proof of credit in the bank(i recive money from the company i work for) registered ltd not cash! Mi question is :Why you idiots open this account if you was't happy at the begining with the application? Please please please!!!!!!! Don't even think to open account with this bank if you respect your nervous system,respect your self,your time &money! The worst bank on High Street!I knew that and now i'm covinced!

Vi har netop købt bil igen, og er super tilfredse med at Santander giver et billigt lån i løbet af 20 timer. Det betyder meget at vi kan handle når det gode tilbud er der. TAK!

Jeg købte en bil for 1,5 år siden, og har betalt for en forsikring der skulle gå ind og dække hvis jeg blev sygemeldt. Det skal understreges at bil forhandleren udfyldte samtlige papire for mig, og til sidst spørger han om jeg vil købe den her safe forsikring og forklarede så hvad det var. Kort forinden mit køb, blev jeg opereret i højre håndled, en kort opereration, som faktisk ikke krævede nogen sygemelding. jeg arbejder og betaler både afdrag på bil og forsikring i halvandet år. hvor jeg så kommer ud for en arbejdsulykke, (tilfældigvis i højre hånd) som nu har gjort mig helt og aldeles u-arbejds dygtig. da jeg så henvender mig til santander safe forsikring afviser de mig pga jeg kort forinden jeg købte denne forsikring var blevet opereret i samme hånd. Kort sagt har jeg gået og betalt for en forsikring som de aldrig har villet dække mig for alligevel. Skaden skete den 21/11-16 jeg har ligesiden fortsat med at betale afdrag, og gæt engang, de tager STADIG penge for denne forsikring.

I HAVE BEEN WITH SANTANDER FOR YEARS NOW, AND NOT ONCE HAVE THEY HELPED WITH MY ENQUIRES? The money is mine in my account no? so why am I not able to transfer my money when my mobile banking is blocked and noone on the customer service can help? I will be leaving Santander, and will not allow a single person I know work with them. Bunch of liars

Ok. So I originally banked with Abbey and in 2007 moved to Alliance in Leicester. I then moved to Santander in 2010 but over time my overdraft crept up to £1750. In 2013 I tried to move to another bank but was told that I could not as I had an existing loan with Santander and needed to pay it off, also the overdraft first and could not transfer the debt to the new bank, even through they were happy to accept it. I managed the account and moved anyway to HSBC. Much better service and no problems. In 2015 I raised a complaint and upon moving to HSBC spoke with the Worcester branch manager. We agreed that £1000 was all that was needed to pay and also that the account would be frozen. In Dec 2015 I closed my business account with Santander and then found that interest was still being applied to the overdraft, despite the fact that the account had been frozen. I raised a formal complaint. It seems that I 'fell between the cracks' in their system - I was diligent enough to still service any interest acrued but not a severe case as to alert their credit control team as was a 'diligent payer' and did not go over the overdraft. 10 months ago I again raised my concerns and had been told that a formal complaint had been conducted and no action was to be taken. If I was not happy I was advised to take my complaint to the Ombudsman. (Like that would help!) Today I paid off the overdraft (£1688.02, approx £688.02 of which was excess overdraft interest applied after the account closure). Santander would not let me pay with my HSBC VISA at the counter, neither could I withdraw the cash by their ATM. I had to go to HSBC and manually walk £1688.02 over from HSBC in cash to Santander. I was then kept waiting for 1 hour whilst the staff tried to close the account, I was then told that there was a further £27 interest (as Santander work one month in advance on interest) to pay. I also paid this with available cash and eventually got to leave. I shook the senior cashier's hand - she was clearly more disgusted with Santander than I was. PS: I understand that in the Banking world people like myself, diligent payers, are referred to as 'Zombies'. Just saying.

Keep setting up alerts if I approach my credit card limit and they keep cancelling them without telling me. Made a complaint and they told me they have set them up again so will be fine. I asked them to look into this further as it's already happened 4 times. They said no as it's hypothetical it won't work this time. I said it's based on the evidence that it's already happened 4 times. They had no interest and couldn't care less. Was like talking to a brick wall. Shouldn't have wasted my time! Much better service else where.
