I've been a customer of Santander Bank for years, as they have taken over most of the banks that I've had to bank with, and in all honesty, they have been pretty good. Granted, most of my banking is accomplished online, but when I have to go into the bank, I'm always greeted well and have had excellent service. I'll come to stay with them until something drastic happens, but hopefully that won't be the case.

Heute habe ich meine seit Wochen angeforderte Debit Karte für mein Online-Konto erhalten. Sicherlich sehr spät, aber es liegt durchaus im Möglichen, dass die Post die erste Karte an meine Anschrift verloren hat. Santander ist von einem Erhalt ausgegangen. Ich will an dieser Stelle daher nicht alle MitarbeiterInnen von Santander verurteilen. Was mich sehr gefreut hat ist ein ausführliches Entschuldigungsschreiben der Santander über meine Beschwerden. Dass ist einer Bank würdig. Fehler passieren und nicht jeder/jede Mitarbeiter/in ist für die Ablauforganisatin auch verantwortlich. Wer Frust empfindet, sollte dies auch mitteilen. In meinem Fall konnte das Problem gelöst werden. Wenn das System für das Online-Banking funktioniert, dann ist es relativ einfach und sicher zu bedienen. Kunden die sich beschweren sind in einer Ausnahmesituation, weil das Problem direkte Auswirkungen auf ihre persönliche Situation hat. Deshalb möchte ich an dieser Stelle auch mitteilen, wenn ein Problem durch Santander gelöst werden konnte.

Firstly, I first joined when it was Giro Bank then Alliance and Lieceser. so a customer for many years. I must admit having read some reviews Ihave not had the same problems as most seem to have had. My only problem is that it takes me about 10 goes to view my current account, other accounts no problem and I would like this rectified Also the contact number over the years has changed so many times. When I joined Giro Bank I was given a welcome pack. In it was a card with the phone number on. Over the years as the numbers have changed I have glued sticky back paper on to the card with the new numbers. Why does the bank not send out cards with the new numbers? I'm sure new customers get them. I also notice I am now being charged a commision when I withdraw money abroad from a Santander Machine un like before when there was no charge. Why? My friend works for Santander and also worked for it when Allience and Leicester, he said the change in company was very noticable and that they are very unprofessional!

Really pleased with the cashback I have been receiving on my account since I switched over. Although they charge £5 per month the various cashbacks plus interest I receive from them more than cover this. Definitely worth checking out.
