Had to go back twice to prove coupon had been clipped. There is ALWAYS a problem with Safeway honoring their own “deal” Lol.

I did not get anything close to what I ordered! Apparently the kids working think Eggnog is alcohol? They gave me the most expensive alcohol they could find!! Do not use this service. When I went in to get a receipt the high school kid said they cannot cancel an order they have to choose other items!? It’s all about making money I guess let’s charge them for the most expensive groceries we can find? This is a joke Do Not Use this service!!

I am disabled and rely on delivery for everything, particularly groceries. During the pandemic, I mostly used Safeway. After a number of issues, I switched to Fred Meyer. This week I ordered from Safeway, as there is an item I regularly use that I can only find there. So I thought I would stock up on that item, and get some other groceries, as well. Big mistake. They failed to substitute for one item. The bread was expired and stale. The hamburger expired weeks ago. They have authorized a refund for the cheese and bread, but not the hamburger. Are you kidding me? Missing item that was charged for. And they couldn’t even be bothered to bag all the groceries. Ridiculous!

Sale prices are a scam. Most of the time they aren't given at checkout unless you catch it.

Did not have half of the items, even when ordered a week ahead. Insane substitution (ordered currants substituted raisin yogurt) that was not refunded because I did not opt of out the default. Customer service call, long wait, no help. NEVER AGAIN!

It is useless to write a review without mentioning the store location. The Florence Oregon store is well managed, makes good when they are out of stock with what they have of the same type, even it is more expensive and the coupons nearly always work. Safeway is always high price, with excellent value coupons which must be used to make any economic sense. If you use the loyalty card, you get rewards which you gets you items for free or gas price reductions. My only concern is they will be gobbled up by Fred Meyer which will close this store eliminating competition and a pharmacy in our small town. I use their pharmacy and have had no issues with it.

The Management of this place is complete garbage and unempathetic. Don't work for Safeway.

I order online and have a friend pickup my groceries. I stopped the delivery because the third party vendor DoorDash that Safeway used was not reliable. Too often items I need are out of stock. They need to update their system to identify items that are not in stock. I don't have too many options due to my disability. I am pissed to put it mildly.
