Absolute Disaster ​I am writing this to warn anyone considering a subscription to Runway. In September, I made the massive mistake of paying for a full year upfront, fueled by the hype and the belief that this would be a professional tool for my workflow. It has been a total nightmare ever since. ​This platform is, without a doubt, the most unreliable service I have ever used. Here is the reality of "working" with Runway: ​Non-existent performance: Generations take 40+ minutes, only to end in a generic "Error" message. ​Insane wait times: Waiting an hour for a single image generation is standard. It is impossible to maintain any creative momentum or meet professional deadlines. ​Total instability: Nothing works consistently. It is a broken product being sold as a finished solution. ​I feel like I’ve been scammed. I essentially gifted nearly $1,000 to a company that provides a non-functional service. Do not make the same mistake I did—stay away from this "software" and keep your money. This isn't a professional tool; it's a platform for scammers.

I signed up with the Pro version with 50% off but it needs to be 100% off. I had the issues with spelling errors, images using foreign language, etc.. and when I ask it to fix the problems it sucks the credit account dry. I started out with 2250 credits, but when you prompt it to fix errors like spelling, they charge your account each time even though AI created the spelling errors but everything was correct in the prompt. I contacted support via their chatbot, and no response ever. I asked for a refund as the video was complete garbage, but the bot said it could not refund my account because I used to many credits (or should I say the AI did!). Runway is a total waste of money. Better programs out there.

Tools are fine, I like the platform, but I cannot tolerate wiping off unused credits monthly. Paid for one month of pro, production got rescheduled by few weeks and when I return to work with the project, I see all my bought and unusued credits gone and having wasted 40€ into nothing. Worthless scam, that kind of lack of flexibility doesn't reach acceptable standards however good the tool itself is.

I used Runway Gen 4.5 exactly as shown in their official tutorials, with the goal of creating a video with a consistent character (same face, same identity) in motion. The result? Completely unusable. After spending over 2000 credits and dozens of hours: the character’s face constantly changes during the video identity is not preserved, even with proper references the output is unstable and unreliable This is not a learning curve issue. I followed the workflow step by step. The problem is the product itself. What is shown in tutorials and promotional content is highly misleading. They present a level of consistency that simply does not hold in real-world use. In reality: the model re-generates the face frame by frame continuity breaks immediately most outputs are unusable After all that time and money, I did not get a single usable video. The only usable results I obtained were a few still images — something I can already generate with ChatGPT as part of my existing subscription, without spending extra credits. This feels like a product that is being marketed far beyond its actual capabilities. If your goal is: consistent characters realistic movement believable acting this tool is not ready. Strongly recommend extreme caution before spending money. Test with minimal credits first, because what you see in tutorials is not what you get in practice.

I have no idea where these losers got my details from but how can they have access to my personal information? It’s a sign of the UK British government again selling out information for profit so the bigger corporations I am sure if everyone leaves them negative reviews they will be an unsuccessful business. This is what needs to happen.

Runway is trash. Same model, same prompt elsewhere = amazing. Runway = garbage. Expensive, clunky, not user-friendly. Can’t even zoom on images properly — just opens a new tab. Complete waste of time and money. THANK GOD FOR FREEPIK.
