I honestly don’t know where to begin. If I had to summarize my experience with Runway, it would be this: a complete waste of money. I paid €85 expecting a smooth, usable product, what I got instead was constant delays, limitations, and frustration. Image generation is painfully slow. I’ve had cases where I started a generation, got up, made coffee, came back… and it was still processing. This is on credits mode, which is supposed to be the faster option. Then there’s the so-called “unlimited mode.” In reality, it’s unusable if you value your time. Waiting 10 minutes for a single video or a handful of images defeats the entire purpose of rapid iteration. On top of that, I frequently run into “high demand” errors, limiting me to generating just one image at a time, which still takes several minutes. Overall, the platform feels heavily bottlenecked, unreliable, and nowhere near what you’d expect for the price. Would not recommend.

Usei o Runway para criar vídeos a partir de uma fotografia real de produto (uma sapatilha específica) e o resultado foi muito dececionante. O modelo não respeita a imagem que carregamos — altera cores, muda o design e às vezes substitui completamente o produto por outro diferente. Mesmo seguindo instruções claras na prompt como “keep the exact product from the reference image unchanged”, o sistema continua a ignorar a referência original. O pior é que os créditos são descontados na mesma, mesmo quando o resultado não corresponde minimamente ao que foi pedido. Ou seja, acabamos a pagar por gerações inutilizáveis. Para quem trabalha com e-commerce ou precisa de fidelidade visual ao produto real, neste momento não é uma ferramenta confiável. Esperava muito mais consistência pelo preço cobrado.

possibly the worst program ever made. Terribly slow in creating simple animation of 5 secs. Endless Qs and very high price. Pointless. Just animate with chatgpt or canva. Is better trust me

Runway is probably the worst video/photo generation site. I pay a subscription of around a hundred dollars a month to generate only a few videos a day, when the system even works... because sometimes you have to wait up to an hour only to then receive the message "There was an issue on our end." Between yesterday and today, I managed to generate 4 videos in a total of 12 hours of waiting. It's pathetic.

When using Runway it used up half my credits within 3 short videos that were 3 of 7 for my full video. No explanation was made for it being on the most expensive models and the experience was sub optimal. Steer clear its a total waste of time and expensive to boot.

Runway is the biggest waste of money you can use. It never generates what you ask it to. It adds things that make zero sense and don't follow the prompt given. The credits are wasted quickly with nothing you can do about it besides buy more credits. Don't waste your money.

First of all, If i could give this zero stars I would. Briefly put this is a bait and switch scam: Their “Unlimited” plan is completely unusable I signed up for the Unlimited plan on RunwayML about 11 days ago expecting it to actually work. What I got was a straight-up bait and switch. This company advertises an Unlimited plan that is anything but unlimited. Thirty to 40 percent of my prompts hung for 20 or more minutes or just sat there spinning forever with error screens. Lots of my generations failed this way no matter what time of day I tried. My last two generations before I disputed the charges with my bank both froze for over 20 minutes on a simple Sedona sunrise prompt before hitting the exact same error: There was an issue on our end. It did not matter what time of day I tried. Morning, afternoon, or late night, the result was always the same: constant hangs, endless queues, and total failure. The service never once delivered what they promise. Pure false advertising. I had to dispute the charges with my bank to get my money back, but I should never have had to go through that after just 11 days of nonstop frustration and wasted time. If you are even thinking about signing up, do not waste your cash. This is a classic bait and switch. Check all the other one-star reviews. The problems are everywhere. Stay far away. Would not recommend at all.

absolutely 100% wasted money. I paid $30 and that was depleted almost instantly just testing which AI could do the best video render, and it still wasted it all with nothing to show. Never again. It's worth putting in the time and manual work if you really prefer quality.
