Runway AI is extremely expensive, and its pricing simply doesn't make sense. Despite having 732 available credits, I couldn't generate a basic 20–25-second video through its ChatGPT integration. The restrictions are confusing, and the cost is unreasonable for what you get. I wasted valuable time trying to make it work. Very disappointing experience and poor value for money. I would not recommend it.

The experience was extremely frustrating and time-consuming. I paid for a service that I could barely use for its intended purpose. I have cancelled my subscription and requested a refund. But I didn't get it for some vague reason. Runway needs to improve its content moderation so that legitimate artistic dance performances are not incorrectly flagged. Very disappointing experience. I cannot recommend it for professional dance video editing.

Bei einer Videogenerierung wurden 900 Credits verbraucht, obwohl das Ergebnis einen Fehler enthielt und für meinen vorgesehenen Zweck nicht verwendbar war. Ich habe den Support kontaktiert und um eine Gutschrift gebeten. Die Erstattung wurde mit der Begründung abgelehnt, dass eine abgeschlossene Generierung als erfolgreich gilt, selbst wenn das Ergebnis die Anweisungen nicht korrekt umsetzt. Auch meine frühere Anfrage zur Wiederherstellung von 625 monatlichen Credits wurde in der mir zugesandten Antwort nicht geklärt. Eine Gutschrift habe ich nicht erhalten. Ich bin besonders enttäuscht darüber, dass mein konkretes Problem nicht erkennbar individuell gelöst wurde. Für mein Projekt brauche ich ein Werkzeug, bei dem ich die Kosten besser kontrollieren kann und bei Problemen eine nachvollziehbare Unterstützung bekomme. Diese KI kostet doppelt soviel wie alle anderen eventuell vergleichbaren Video KI's , man bezahlt im Standarttarif 18 Euro (Österreich) für das ABO , bekommt dafür nur 625 Credits und die werden einem wieder weg genommen wenn man sie nicht verbraucht , man bezahlt also ein ABO das einem das , was man BEZAHLT hat wieder weg nimmt , also eindeutig KEINE EMPFEHLUNG ! Aufgrund dieser Erfahrung werde ich mein Abonnement kündigen und Runway vorerst nicht weiter nutzen.

This website is a total scam. I was told it would be only $12 for a month of usage, so I paid the $12. I generated the first video, which it was incorrect, so I generated it at least three other times before it got correct, and then it told me I only had enough for one additional video, thinking I used my $12 up already. I then noticed my bank account was charged $158. I immediately called my bank, canceled my membership, and had them refund me with the exception of the $12 I used. This is a complete and total scam.

It's over. Content policies and regulations for consumers but I bet their billionaire trust fund nepo baby children get unlimited resources and zero restrictions. Don't bother paying for this service. These adults are lobotomized and brain washed. Rather just learn 3D software at this point and go open-source for a better experience. Literally cannot recommend runway. $200M ARR? From who? A16scam, YScam, ScamPoint, ScamRock? yikes.

ChatGPT recommended installing the Runway AI plugin to handle the video generation, so I went ahead and purchased a one-year subscription. Here is how my experience unfolded: Massive Credit Drain: My first month came with 625 credits. Generating a single 15-second video was going to cost an astounding 543 of those credits. Abysmal Output & Upselling: After waiting over 15 minutes, the AI finally generated the video—only to feature a bizarre glitch where raw chicken wings were being put directly into already-cooked chicken wings. When I asked to have this basic error fixed, Runway AI demanded I buy more credits to do so. Ghost Support: When I tried to resolve the issue, I submitted support requests via email and their online form. Two days later, they bizarrely emailed me claiming they hadn’t heard back from me. Dark Patterns for Cancellation: Trying to cancel my subscription was an exercise in frustration. The cancellation link repeatedly redirected me back to the video creation dashboard instead of billing. It took five attempts, followed by navigating through layers of unnecessary pages, clearly designed to trap users and prevent them from leaving. The poor quality of the AI generation combined with predatory, difficult cancellation hurdles left me with zero desire to ever use this platform again. PS: I still have not received a refund and am stuck waiting. My next step is disputing the charge directly with my credit card company.
