Thank you!

I felt duped, but I probably should’ve been more attentive. When I googled the name of the Omni hotel I wanted to make reservations for, the first site that came up was labeled with that name. Thinking I was reserving directly with the hotel I made a reservation. When I got confirmation I realized I had reserved through a third party. Checking the Omni site I found that their rate was half what I had been charged. I tried to cancel within an hour of making the reservation. Omni has a cancellation policy, but not reservationportal. So I will pay almost double. The SEO that the portal uses results in a highly misleading, easily confused result. I’m very disappointed

Hi Steve, thank you for taking the time to share your booking experience with us. We would like to take this opportunity to clarify the steps we take to inform our customers during the reservation process. First, we aim for full transparency regarding our identity as a independent OTA. To ensure guests are aware they are using a third-party service, we explicitly state that Reservations Portal is an independent travel network directly above the room listings on the hotel results page. This notice is intended to help customers distinguish our platform from the hotel’s direct website before a selection is even made. Second, to prevent accidental bookings or misunderstandings regarding cancellation policies, we require every customer to manually check two separate checkboxes stating the customer accepts our Terms and Conditions, our Privacy Policy, and that the booking is non-refundable. These steps are in place to ensure that every guest is fully aware of our terms and the specific cancellation terms of their booking before payment is processed. Sincerely, Customer Support Team ReservationsPortal.com

Super misleading. Didn't even think I had booked a "non-refundable" until the confirm came in. Sneaky how they use the hotels name in the URL making it seem like they are the hotel. BUT, if I called the hotel to see if they would help me. Had to speak with the Wholesale group and guess what... they said my reservation was 100% refundable if I asked Reservations Portal within the allotted time to cancel the reservation (I think it was either 24 or 48 hours). So Reservations Portal lied. Thankfully the hotel was kind enough to send an email to Reservations Portal, copying me, with the clarification that my reservation was not non-refundable. I sent that to my credit card company, got the refund, and then Reservations Portal had no choice but to cancel my reservation. All their automated BS would never actually get me to someone to help. But the hotel had their number. Even when we had a "reservations specialist" on the phone, AND when the hotel was outright telling them, "this is not a non-refundable reservation and we're good with refunding the customer the money", Reservations Portal STILL wouldn't agree to the refund. Total crooks. You’ll see in their reply they failed to mention that the hotel did not have a non-refundable policy on my stay.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We want to address this transparently for anyone reading. We understand the frustration of feeling caught off guard by a non-refundable booking — that's genuinely not the experience we want anyone to have. However, we do want to set the record straight on a few points. As an Online Travel Agency (OTA), we source inventory through wholesale suppliers — we are not the hotel's direct booking channel, and our cancellation policies are governed by supplier agreements. This is standard practice across the OTA industry. More importantly, your booking included a clear, explicit acknowledgment at checkout — presented in x2 locations on checkout — stating: *"I understand this booking is non-refundable. No refunds for cancellations, changes, or no-shows."* Non-refundable rooms are also labeled throughout the booking funnel before you reach checkout. We show this disclaimer more prominently than virtually any other OTA. We accepted the chargeback rather than contest it — not because the claim was valid, but as a courtesy. We could have disputed it successfully given the session recording and signed acknowledgment on file. We're sorry the experience felt adversarial. We do work hard to resolve issues in good faith, and we remain available at [email protected] for anyone who needs assistance. We simply ask that our team not be characterized as "crooks" when the terms were clearly presented and accepted.

I selected 4 days, and you only booked 3 days, which was totally unacceptable!

Thank you for your review. We're sorry your stay didn't go as planned. We've reviewed your reservation and our records show a 3-night stay confirmed for March 30 – April 2. We've also tested our date selection process extensively without being able to replicate the issue you described, and we haven't had other guests report a similar experience. That said, we want to make sure we fully understand what happened on your end. Please contact us at [email protected] and we'll work through it with you directly. We hope to have the chance to make this right.

I picked a king room with a strip view and was booked a double queen room . When I tried to contact you I couldn't get through.

Hi, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear your stay didn't meet your expectations. We've reviewed your booking (reference 256-15896749) and our records — including a session recording from your checkout — show that a "Room - 2 Queen" room was selected and confirmed during the booking process. We want to be transparent about that, as we take room type accuracy very seriously. That said, we understand how frustrating it can be if the stay didn't feel like what you expected, and we're equally sorry that you had difficulty reaching us afterward. We'd welcome the opportunity to speak with you directly to understand what happened. Please reach out to us at [email protected] and we'll make sure someone responds promptly. We hope to have the chance to make this right.

The fact that you required a down payment. And then the tournament got canceled and then did not want to/or refund on your own time. Quick to take the money. But real damn slow to give it back. Still have not gotten the refund yet either!
