The county took over our route so I closed my account on June 26 before the next quarters billing cycle. Was told we had a zero balance…July 12 they take $130 from my account. This is illegal and wire fraud. They had no permission nor did I have auto pay turned in. Remember, my account had be closed and verified. Then I filed a complaint with my bank. They verified that Republic Services pulled the money, USAA did not send it automatically. As Republic Services was telling me it could take weeks to get my money back, USAA initiated an investigation and said if it is proven fraudulent then USAA would reimburse my account, just as if a credit card were stolen and used. On the same day 8 days later Republic Services and USAA put $130 in my account. USAA has said it is a permanent payment covered by my accounts financial insurance. Republic Services is now saying since USAA paid me they want the $130 back. Imagine that, my bank pays me for money republic services stole and now they have the nerve to say that they should get the stolen money back. To the point they have billed me the $130 now and have threatened to send to collections. You paid me my money, money you stole, money you didn’t provide a service for! This company needs federally investigating. They are garbage. If you can go with another company do!

We have lived in our home for 16 years. Until recently we had used Republic Services for our trash collection. Besides missed pickups, the fees for their service kept going up (with no notice or explanation) and when we would call they would say they would adjust the rate but always after a couple billing cycles it was right back up again. In March of 2022 I had the idea to check with my next door neighbors to see what their rate was. One told me he paid almost $100 less per 3 month cycle and the other said they paid $40 less. When our last bill arrived early 2022 for $209 ( almost a $100 more than a few billing cycles previous) we called to terminate service as of March 31st. We paid our final bill and they picked up the containers mid April. I was happy to think I was finally done with them until we received ANOTHER bill stating that we owed them $30 X 2 for picking up THEIR trash cans PLUS another $30.47 for a FUEL SURCHARGE!!!!! PLUS another $5.95 "administration" charge. Never in our sixteen years was I informed of any such "exit" fees. Calling and speaking with their representative was nothing but a waste of time. I was left with the impression it was "punishment" for quitting their service. I find it hard to believe a company can have the nerve to treat their (longtime) customers in such a shady fashion and still be able to remain in business. I would give them zero stars if it was an option......

Once again truck 2231 has no regard for safety.....talking on his phone with one hand ....driving with the other hand...he usually drives 2225 but today was 2231... while he's enjoying his conversation he is also jeopardizing the public and has no concerns over safety.....I written reviews about this before and nothing gets done......this took place on May 4th around 12:30 in chelmsford on balsam dr.

Sub-abysmal experience. Negative on stars. No trash pick up on trash day, even though the truck parked next door for nearly three minutes in clear view of the curbside container. They drove past it without even hitting the brakes. Calling customer service several times in one morning was a descent into the bowels of the neverending answer to the question of "how much worse can this customer service be?". I am sure the service reps tried... kinda. How bad can it be when each time I called I was given a different account number? When I finally called to cancel my service, the rep was unable to find any account number associated with my name in their system. Eventually moved things along to dropping my service and agreeing that I would not be charged $30 for their "container pick up fee". Unfortunately, the rep told me I would need to call back next month to go through Hell again in requesting my refund. Rep said "the system" didn't allow her to complete this process with one phone call. Bill Gates owns this nationwide company? Shameful. Maybe if residents in cities across the country work together, we can create new methods of repurposing much of the household trash we pay extortion level fees to companies like Republic to haul out of sight, out of mind. Reinvent the wheel and create compost or repurpose, repair, or donate stuff instead.

I'm nearly 70 years old and have never had a poorer service experience that with Republic Services. In the past year they have with delayed or cancelled pick-up probably a dozen times. They haven't issue a penny in credits. So if you are looking for a place to send money without getting anything in return, look no further. Republic Services is more than happy to take your money. I have never seen such a poorly run company. The irony is that they seem perfectly content to enjoy a one star rating. They don't even try to improve. I think it's time to initiate a class action lawsuit designed to help millions of customers that they have stolen from. They collect there monthly fees regardless of whether they provide the service. That has to be illegal. I've even had instances when they said they would issue the credit and never did. They are liars, cheaters and thieves.

This company has the worst customer service and doesn't care about their customers one bit. Back in August I watched the trash man not pick up our trash. I called in to ask them to turn around and pick it up. They refused and wanted to upcharge me for something I already pay for. Due to terrible customer service I chose to cancel my service with them that day which was before the 4th qtr billing cycle. I then received a bill for 4th qtr, I called in and was told it would be taken care of. It wasn't. I got another bill the following month with a late fee attached. I called in asking why Im still getting these bills when I dont have service with you!? They said they would take care of it. They didnt. I get another bill with a late fee and a container removal fee the next month... what am I late on and why are they tacking on random fees that was never disclosed?! I called in again, said they would take care of it. They didnt. Now I am in collections for $23 because the employees of Republic Services can not do their jobs on any level and multiple occasions. I tried to talk to a manager or higher up person in the company, their customer service only got worse. They do not listen to a word you're saying. They could care less about the customers despite the advertising they do about helping the community. The thing is the company is too big to care, my credit being damaged over something I dont owe isnt going to hurt them any. I've looked at reviews for this company on multiple sites now, all show very low ratings. Seems that I'm not the only one they are treating poorly. I will probably end up paying the $23 to protect my credit, which doesnt right a wrong by any means, and is probably how they get away with it and keep doing it. Dear Republic as a company, this will come around to bite you someday. You will never have my support and as a landlord of serval properties you will never service any of them.

I've been with them over 10 years in the last three or four months they've missed seven pickups of both of my cans. I've actually emailed them over seven times I've actually called them over 15 times. I actually had a manager supposedly talked to me almost a month ago I told them their transfer station was less than 2 miles from my home if I would be able to drop everything off down there and he said that would be fine. A week or so goes by and he doesn't take my phone calls anymore. All I asked was to be able to drop them off and nothing happened I had over 106 bags of trash piled in my little trailer. I finally headed to contact a local trash guy to come pick it up as it was starting to smell after 2 and 1/2 months. I paid him $45. All I wanted Republic services to do was credit my account for one month. And when I finally talk to somebody did they said oh it's been too long I'm sorry we can't do that. Even though they saw my complaints started at the end of September. I basically told them fine I'll be like the other 32 or 33 people have 65 of us that live on account of the island that already switched over to waste management. This company is a joke they're a bunch of liars as well
