I could not recommend the Anchorage Alaska staff of Renew Anderson enough. Daniel, the design consultant, is never pushy or inpatient about sales. He even recommended to replace our windows in stages or as we feel necessary. He gave aesthetic as well as practical suggestions. We are getting 16 new windows and one new door, out of a home with over 30 windows. Robert’s specialty is measuring the windows and making sure that the ones they replace are all up to code. This is so important to us, especially since we are Foster parents for Native Alaskans and the rules are very strict to ensure absolute safety for the children, in any case of a natural disaster like an earthquake or a fire. Robert has been working with Anderson nearly a decade and has been trusted to measure and ensure safety codes for 1920’s historic buildings in Juneau, Alaska. I trust the quality and am impressed with the non pushy, educated staff. Anderson’s staff is never contracted out. You know you will get the best windows and be educated on the material and the installation. Our property was built before Alaska was even a state and we are restoring this historic home with only the best windows and doors.

Purchased sash window replacements for entire house. Cost just under $50,000. It took 4 months from deposit to final install in March of 2020. In October 2023 rust started to appear on exterior and when window was opened the upper sash crashed down like a guillotine. After repeated calls to local and corporate office “Joshua” finally came January 10, 2024. He determined the aluminum strips on either side of all windows in the house had corroded and the upper sash of all windows was being held up by the lower sash fastener, thus when opened the upper window would crash! He said all would need to be replaced. We are now in April with no replacement and hurricane season approaching. More phone calls to corporate and local Central Florida. I found out the aluminum strips were not even ordered until Feb 10. Corporate “Nick Bailey” local “Wendy” promise to get back but nothing. When you call you get a recording that they’ll return your call. I was told by “Wendy” they had called back so got AT&T to give me call history. They had not tried to call. My next step is a registered letter to CEO. Run don’t walk from this scam company. All the money is spent on their advertising (why they’re so more expensive) and not customer service or quality. Their installation and repair people are subcontractors.

I will agree it’s a good product, however, their independent contractors they use are rude, won’t answer any questions and don’t respect your property. There was a bush up against a window that needed to be trimmed back. I went to do it and he said he would do it. Needless to say he destroyed the bush. So be aware it’s not Anderson who installs them. I requested a call from them to discuss the issue. They never called. I wouldn’t get windows from them again.

They have taken advantage of our 87 year old parents for the second time. First they sold them a 10,000.00 sliding door that bows in the winter and won't open. Andersen will not correct that issue. Now they came and sold them 2 new windows for 8,999.00 they are not needed. They are preying on the elderly and sticking them into a contract that they cannot get out of. Bad business tactics. BEWARE

I don’t recommend waisting your time explaining the scope to them, and finally they give you 6- 10 times price higher than the market !! This is what happened to me ( I have to change arround 30 windows, expecting the window’s cost arround $400 to $500 - for very simple standard window) but they gave me “starting from $3,000 / each window !!!!!

Our contractor...Nova Presicion 2 Excellent work performance, very professional, willing to go an extra mile to make sure I was satisfied. When he was done I couldn't fault no part of the work. I guess workmen like these is why Anderson is the great company it is..VERY GOOD SHOW. Karrett Brissett Brooklyn,NY.

We were misled by a representative of Renewal by Anderson. The salesman told us that, because we installed 2 new patio doors which cost us $15,000, that we would be able to get $9,000.00 deducted from our taxable income for 2023. Our tax accountant told us that this is not true and that we had been misled by this company representative. Do not believe what they tell you. They are just trying to make a sale. If I could give this company a Zero, I would.

I went with Heritage window and Renewal by Anderson because of the positive reviews. They are considerably more expensive than the other estimates I received, but windows are so important to the value and livability of a home, I thought the investment would be worth it. I had double pane wood windows and aluminum storm windows. There was peeling lead paint that needed to be mitigated as well, so I knew there would be extra labor for that. We decided to replace the windows because the glass had become etched and the lead paint was a hazard when we wanted to open the windows. It was a priority that the new windows be as quiet as the existing windows, which we were told repeatedly the triple pane would be better at sound dampening. So we paid extra for those in the primary bedroom as we live on a busy street. The triple pane windows are a complete rip off. Not only do they block significantly less sound than the previous window configuration, the sound of the cars and trucks passing by is higher pitched and echoey. I have emailed and discussed this with multiple people at Heritage Window, and the response has been that their supplier doesn’t do storm windows, and that there is really no other solution. We are going to move our primary bedroom because the sound is now too loud to sleep in that room. We are fortunate that we can do that… we can’t really afford to replace the windows again or pay another company to add storm windows. Due to the expense, we were only able to do half our windows. We paid roughly $2500 average per window for replacement, which is about 50% higher than the next highest bid. Make sure to research what your priorities are and cast a wide net when you get estimates. Don’t get triple pane windows, they’re definitely not quieter than double pane and there is very little additional energy efficiency compared to cost. Once the window is installed, you’re on your own despite what you’re told during the sales pitch.
